Airforce Airguns are fantastic so long as you don’t mind a bit of fiddling around and some experimentation. But that’s the juice for me.

Man I had a .25 cal Benjamin marauder v2 I did not like that gun sent it back to pa for a refund

Thanks Timekiller enjoy your 25 cal. You know what they say about .25, “once you hear the thwack, you don’t go back”. It will be my next upgrade, although all calibres have their virtues.

Sometimes when the pressure drops below a certain level you will get “tank dump” which is when the air releases on its own because the valves are designed to operate in higher ranges. Don’t think this means all the air is out, sometimes they will drop to a point and stop. So do still deploy the plank of wood track until you are sure all air is out. By the way I am very new to PCPs but I didn’t take long to raise so whilst I think my advice is sound if others will more experience disagree with anything then take their lead. I’m happy to defer to greater knowledge, but I have changed a few tank valves lately doing similar upgrading to you… :fishinghole:

Thanks dude I appreciate your help

I would probably dry fire it until the pressure has dropped to 500 psi or noticeable by ear then unscrew tank and gently press tophat down on piece of wood until it starts to release air then patiently hold that position until all the air is out gently increasing pressure until valve is completely depressed and there is literally nothing left. But rather than sit there dry firing it sixty times or more why not just have a long target practice session to brake the back of the process.

Ok thank you for the help how do you empty the tank is there another way other than the shooting in the air out

Hi, if you are referring to changing the tophat then there are some great vids by Pandemic on youtube, just check them out. But basically you lift the tophat off carefully with two flat headed screw drivers then push your high flow tophat in. If you are referring to the tank valve, as I think you are, then the most important thing is make sure the tank is completely empty before doing anything. Then put the tank in a vice with a rag wrapped over it to prevent marking it then unscrew the tank valve with a heavy duty adjustable spanner. They don’t come off easy, if all else fails take it down a local car garage and they will get it off easy. But remember your tank is the gun essentially, if it isn’t completely empty its going to end badly.
