lol
im 295
and i dont have any problem filling it
just break a sweat doing it
it is tough. i weigh 230 and its still a work out. just have to put all your weight into it. first time was the toughest but filling from 2-3000 isnt so bad 🙂
the hill pump doesnt heat up at all with the dry pac system installed…
in my experience hills are harder to pump, but fill the gun faster. Its not that big a difference and I weigh 200lbs so have plenty of weight to push down with.
Is the hill pump hard to pump then? I use an axor pump and find It fairly easy but the fact that the pump heats up too quickly gets on my tits. 50-60 pumps and the shaft Is toasty warm. 60 pumps will fill my 500cc bottle about 20 bar 😆 What’s the hill pump like for heating up?
2500 is good, if you are having a hard time till you get used to it, believe me it starts to get harder after 2500.
anywase i gotten the hang of it and now im just stuck at 2500psi…300 more to go…i weigh only 140 lbs and i tell ya’ll this is a work out… thanks for all the help guys
ahhh…just realize that and i feel pretty dumb… 😆
The bleed valve is just suppose to release the air between tank and pump, so you can take the tank off, otherwise the fittings are too tight, because of the air pressure.
if i open the valve wont that release all the air in the tank?and how do i check how much air is in my tank?
haha yea i must sound really stupid but im pretty sure you guys all started where i did:D so pls bear with me as i am a noob
Open valve then remove tank.
Step two…. screw in the bottle on the adapter….
Step three…. pump until you feel like you are going to die…..
Step four…. rest while the pump cools off… get discouraged at the lack of progress… and pump again until you feel like you are going to die.
Then rest again… pump some more. Curse and swear that you are going to buy a CF tank. Rest… pump some more…. bitch and moan at the lack of progress….
repeat until you finally have the tank filled.
😀
It really is a bitch to pump an empty tank to full… just keep at it and rest, if not for you…then to allow your pump to cool…. you’ll get there eventually.
first of all i attach the adapter directly to the pump…the hose that came with the pump doesnt fit the adapter that i got from PA…did i need the hose or is it ok without the hose? anywase firstly i tighten up the bleed valve and pumped it up to 1500psi then it wouldnt go any further…i then untighten the bleed valve and the air came out the psi dropped to zero…i then tried again 5 mins later… this time i was able to pass 1500 and reached 2200psi…but it got to 2200psi really fast like 6-8 pumps…now at 2200 it wont go any further, but anywase do i remove the tank by untightening the bleed valve or do leave it at 2200 and just remove the tank?
so freaking lost! help me out here
LOL, I just got my fill adapter machined with a male foster fitting and got to re-fill my Talon bottle for the first time tonight with my new Hill pump. I went from 1000 to 2700psi and I couldn’t take it anymore (I weigh 170 lbs). Thank gawd I bought a CF bottle (in route for delivery) and line.
The Hill pump is a nice piece though.
And after you cut a hole in the box and thrust you whole body….and repeat 80 times…

Lock your arms and thrust your whole body into the stroke.
