How to port a Airforce Airgun’s valve stem

I know most of you guys have done all this stuff long ago im only making the videos to try and help out new people comming to TAG this idea was from a member here called LURKER #1 and it is just a way to get a little extra fps from the valve you already have this is in no way a replacment to the custom valves some of you guys are making hope this video helps someone.

Pandemic, that is very handy info. Thanx, I had a completely different idea of how it is done. Stupid question but say my rifle is pushing Jsb 18gr(.22) at 920fps, roughly by how much will a ported valve increase the velocity on the this setup. Its probably the same as asking ‘how long is a piece of string?’ but a rough idea would help.

You inspired me to do a little more. This time I used a radiused rat tail rifle file to take it down further. Also used a Q-Tip mounted in a drill to touch up polish inside the stem.
I now have 2 ported valve stems. One I use with my light hammer 12″ .177 and the one I used for 24″ .22 is now ported further.

I don’t know if this will hold up to a heavy hammer but it works.
