How to remove delrin valve seat
On a Hi Flow valve, what is the method to rmove the delrin valve seat from the stem ? How is it attached ?

How deep into the delrin did the stem extend?

It just took a screw driver under it and pull up. I didn’t have to pry it up.
I don’t think so. People remove them all the time to get the stem out. When they are that loose (almost falling off) it’s not good. 😯
ok – so once pulled off then it is ruined, because the tolerence fit (and centering) is gone?
Yes it is pressed in but it is metal into plastic. I had one that you could almost pull out with your fingers.

OK – I thought the delrin was attached to the stem and you say it just easily slides on.
First you have to drain the air out of the tank. Then you have 2 option. First option is take 2 screw drives similar size and stick them between the tophat and valve from opposite directions then pry up with both at the same time. The stem will come out easy. Then take 2 small punches that fit in the slots on the brass insert. Then use your hand and turn them. Everyone I have done have come off easy. If it is not coming off, put the tank in a vise protected pointed straight up. Now take the punches and put them in the slots, then take a screw driver and put it between the punch so you can turn the punches with it. Now while pushing down on the punch try to turn them with the screw driver. Second option is to remove the stem as describe above. Then remove the valve from the tank. Now remove the brass spring retainer by unscrewing it. The spring and delrin piece will come out.

Delrin is .512 and stem goes in .250, although the depth of the hole is .300.
