How to safely reinstall 18" barrel
I recently removed my barrel from my condor SS .25 to lap and when I reinstalled I put the baffles in and then used my finger to compress the barrel down to realign the holes for the set screws. Should the baffle press against the crown like that or is that bad? The PVC pipe is hollow and the barrel might ride up into it….can someone help with suggestions?

I check in from time-to-time nowhere near as often as I used to the site is blocked with my at-work firewall.
Most of the time I am checking to see how big the ball of yard got, and how long the rubber bands have been stretched.

Your crown should be fine, unless you had some abrasive crap stuck to the dowel.
For future work, get yourself a piece of PVC tube. Slide it over the barrel down to the bushing and use it to push the barrel into place.
Much easier and no possibility of damaging the crown.

From your other post on how to install baffles I got that part down..the open cone end is definitely facing the muzzle with baffle stop screw in place. What I was talking about is there is some spring pressure you have to overcome in order to get the bushing holes lined up with the frame when replacing the barrel. I went to Lowes (Home Depot) and picked up a wooden dowel just one size smaller than th I.D. of the frame. I gently pressed that against the muzzle end of the barrel until holes lined up, inserted screws, tightened it all down. …then inserted the baffle stop screw and then inserted the baffles, compression washer and finally the end cap. I figure that the dowel, being made of wood and being much larger in diameter than the barrel, won’t mess with the crown. Hoping this is satisfactory as I don’t know any other way to compress the barrel.
Baffles should not be touching the barrel.
There is a flush mounted “baffle stop screw” in the bottom rail to keep baffles in place.

which way did you install the baffles? The small piece of aluminum tube rests against the drilled bushing, and the baffles (blast cone facing the muzzle- that is, if you compare it to a pellet, the skirt facing the muzzle) rest against the blast baffle (aluminum tube). The plastic baffles should never touch the muzzle.
