Thanks Guys,

I take it that the part in the gun is a threaded collar and has to be exposed from under the bottom to loosen the set screw in order to “clock” the sleeve?
I don’t see this in any of the drawings listed above.

The valve body is TIGHT in the bottle. I will machine a removal tool tonight at work. This is the first time I have gone into the gun. Tony did a first rate job as best I can tell. His moderator works great too!

Is very important to hold firmly but be must to be carefull to avoid damage the tank.
look the link, this is the best way

damn, i missed the one about using die handles. that ought to work. just don’t use your best set, you will probably have to smack them with a hammer, initially, to break the valve loose. you don’t have to put it back on that tight. just hand tight, ( with the tool ), until it bottoms out.
glad i could help.

you’re going to need a ” valve removal tool”. check with Joe Brancato at expert hpa, or i think Dyotat100 on this forum also makes them. they’re around 10.00. make sure you drain your tank COMPLETELY before you try to remove the valve!!!
