HPA Regged Tanks – A few basic questions on the JDS/Expert
Tanks as I have not used one or the C02 Adapter.
1) How do you fill them? Is there a male foster and/or a shut off valve?
2) After the Air Force C02 Adapter is atttahed, is there an on/off valve to let air into the adapter?
3) Once that C02 Adapter is pressurized, what happens in the event the regulator craps out and now 3,000 psi is hitting that adapter? Is there a burst disk/pressure relief valve to safely dump that air?

Here’s a couple of shots of the setup…There is a vent
hole in the adapter. I think you could unscrew it with a
wrench and vent the pressure though the hole if something
happened to the reg…
I am just not sure if you could screw
it back on if the tank is pressurized…I’ll experiment with
that and see what happens….The JDSairman setup can only handle 3,000psi.
The reg is rated at 3,000psi and has a 3,000psi and 5000psi burst disk,
male Foster fitting, and a 5,000psi gauge.
I got my Foster female fitting
from Tim at Mac1. ….You might not really know
what adapter you need (male or female, thread count and type)
for the compressor until you see
what the compressor has on it…
