There“s another semi-auto waiting to get out in August : http://en.shop.dase.fi/product/22/huben-k1
And also a Finnish made “Lion” is about to emerge as well. Immensely powerful BP made in Finland. I have missplaced them pics though .. :sadn:

MrodAir says it’s shipment of K1s arrived with replacement barrels for improved accuracy, and are being shipped to customers. Might as well for reports from the field to get a sense of accuracy.
I was under the impression that ST barrels ONLY work good at high velocity, however that is the 930 950 mark not 1000+ fps.
But don’t Take my word for it, like hemn Said, ask Ernest etc
i believe you must ask someone like Ernest or Wingman,,,those who have a great experience with this hobby
Does ST barrel work well for high velocities?
Yes,,, Ernest is the perfect man for such difficult work … he can even make the TJ barrel fit ..
Ernest Rowe machines ST barrels, you can ask him
Today Gregor posted a video on how to remove the OEM K1 barrel and replace it with a custom barrel (sold by Rojal). I hope you find it interesting. The link:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=htckp125XkU

PS I can see where a good machinist can make a barrel-alignment tool (rod). Also I wonder if a more aggressive twist could be of benefit versus the 16:1 in the custom barrel? BTW I wrote to the company to ask the price of this barrel shipped to my zip code. I’ll pass the info along, though I think it would be great if a replacement barrel could be sourced from this side of the pond since the particular custom barrel is made in Slovenia.

Not so much. I went to a Catholic school in the 50’s and the teachers were all nuns! I think I got a hard-on every ten minutes back then…a bit awkward when I got called on to stand up and answer a question. In those days my little soldier stood straight out and was hard enough to cut diamonds with.
So, on instinct, I immediately dropped to the floor, face down, faked a grand mall seizure, and kind of flopped around until the boner disappeared. From the 5th grade till graduation at grade 8, all the nuns were very hesitant to call on me because four out of five times I’d have a seizure.
Strange how we would gladly reclaim what would now be our greatest sources of pride.

I have the “Beasts” and yes they fit and yes I’ve shot them thru the K1. I haven’t spent much time seeing what speed they want outa’ the K1. I and the K1 really like the “Ultra Shocks”
Ah Hoot, to remember the days when the wind blew and ya’ got a woody!
:hoot:
Thanks for that thought. The chances of me getting to Wichita are akin to me achieving an all natural erection.

PS: Yea…yea…I tried Viagra, but it hurt too much pushing it down the muzzle of my long gun! Does anyone manufacture them as a suppository??? Seriously, I just as well shove them up my ass, for all the good they did me! It kept popping out at awkward times, and it stained the sheets blue. What the hell were they thinking when they designed that fat oval pill for a drug delivery system? Idiots!!!

Before you order the Beasts, if your air gun uses a magazine, double-check the pellet length vs. the magazine pellet length limitations. Those are expensive pellets, so be certain they fit, or that you have a single shot adapter!

You should try the JSB Beast .22 if it isa .22

Yep, I like to shoot JSB Ulra Shock’s right at 900, wish they weren’t so expensive. The K1 is a very unique Airgun, I might sale a Colibri to get another K1. But, yes… most pellets seem to perform best..at least for me somewhere around the 900ish area. Hoot, if for some reason you get up to Wichita I’ll take you and Doug to dinner.

Speed of sound at sea level = ~1116.13 feet per second .
For what it’s worth, you might check this PA article: http://www.pyramydair.com/blog/2011/08/why-you-dont-want-to-break-the-sound-barrier/
It is a compilation of basic information gathered over the past few years regarding air guns and the speed of sound. I believe you will benefit from MOST of the info offered.
As always…”Use” determines how fast we want our pellets/slugs to travel, and how accuracy and impact energy is impacted. It never hurts to get educated on the basic physics of the equation…just mentally edit out any opinions vs. the facts offered.
Then make your own educated decisions/opinions on this matter. My personal opinion is 750 to 950 fps for maximum accuracy, FPS, FPE, for the .17, .22, 25 calibers. I have no experience, thus no opinion, as regards this issue for large bore calibers or .257 slug guns.

PS: Scroll down in that article and read the “Reader comments” about pellets and the velocity debate at that time (2011). Most air guns in hobby use at that time were spring-powered. We have come a very long way since then, but the basic projectile behaviors discussed are held bound by the laws of physics, so the info remains solid.

when they start making them in walnut I will get one.
