Huma Reg Adjustment
Wingman or somebody in the know …. i remember seeing something about these regulators having a few adjustments.
one obviously controls the amount in the post chamber.. and the other adjustment controls the amount of flow it lets in????
how do u make these adjustment? could you explain this stuff in a little more in-depth

Has anybody try to set the reg at a lower psi for 20 fpe for Field Target competition shooting in the AAFTA Hunter Division? If so what did the shot string look like and accuracy too ?
That will just make the issue worst….
My opinion …. The reg works awesome !!! That restrictor bullshit is for the birds. My cricket doesn’t haves it and I get a 4 fps spread!!! Get rid of the restriction idea and let the regulator flow. No one wants to sit there and run a shot string waiting 20 secs between shots.
The front part is the plenum chamber as designed by Wingman. It should be the correct size for the P12 0.22. I’ve already made a few of these plenums in different length but can not help at the moment as the P12’s for South Africa are still a long way off.

Has anybody looked into how much space is in front of the regulator? Considered making some spacers? Might improve the shot cycle with a bit more space in front of the reg. I have read somewhere that one CC per Ft Lb is ideal. Mine does work well. Regards, Tom

The first reports are coming in on the new P-12.
Here is the news
The transfer port could be about .012-.015″ larger in my estimation to make it 890-910 fps on the string with the same settings and same air consumption, and the reg was set to refresh slowly (as already pointed out by brother Phil), as they are more accurate for secondary pressure less chance of poppet (bounce) and less variation from shot to shot with the slower air flow settings. (Simple fine turning of the grub screw)
They may have underestimated slightly on the slow side on the air flow of the reg for recreational shooters.
(Much better than too fast, and its all easily adjustable)
I suppose at long range, or target shooting most would allow a second or two for the reg to stabilize.
Just didn’t think it would take 10-15 seconds or more as some have reported to settle in.
With just the transfer port mod, it should shoot 890-910 for a full 60 shot string, even with the flow turned up slightly.
So a simple transfer port swap, and possibly a very small airflow adjustment on the reg, and they will be perfect for rapid shooting (plinking) and more fps with the same efficiency. (may just take a little break in time on the reg poppet)
I’ll be making another video on this subject and mailing the guys that bought the regs, new transfer ports for free if needed.
We will let the guys shoot them for a bit, and get more info.

Just wanted to get some info out there, about how to tear it down and play with it a little bit while they were in route.
Looks like everyone is happy with them so far, but I’m a little picky.
We will make our sample perform to more specific requirements and report our findings.

If i let the gun sit for 20 secs or so… the velocity would spike up 10 fps.
i backed the 3mm grub out some. and it seems to be good now.
These regs have the capabilities for fine tuning, not only the very fine threads on the main pressure screw but there is also a 3mm grub screw set down inside the inlet port which allows for the fine adjustment of air flow into the regulator which allows the regulator to fill faster or slower before shutting of for a better chance of accurate regulator function. Turn the small internal cap screw while holding the main pressure screw with a flat screwdriver counter-clockwise for a faster air flow to fill the regs plenum faster or clockwise to slow it down..
Slowing down the air speed in this manner gives the reg more time to regulate resulting in a very consistent pellet velocity with very minimal spread.
Some regulators have such a large inlet port that the reg opens early and the air rushes in to the plenum even while the poppet valve is still open wasting more air and also causes a regulator “bounce” which can shut a reg before it is up to the full set pressure then bounce it off the seat letting another small burst of air in often over pressurising it, this normally happens while the Cylinder pressure is still high but reduces as the air pressure in the cylinder drops.
This is the number one cause of a reg showing a small bell curve like an unregulated rifle that is very hard to iron out, most people end up reducing hammer spring tension and lifting the reg pressure but the result often means more noise and bad efficiency/consistency.
This port size can be the difference of a consistent efficient reg and a absolute dog of a reg.. Huub and Marc have given us the best possible solution to tune the reg for a pressure range you intend to use it within.

Yes.. I have set mine up with 14.3gr JSBs with a lighter hammer spring and 120psi on the reg.. very accurate but I didnt record a shot string, it was the usual long and boring flat string though..
My P12 actually shoots the 14 an 16gr jsbs very well at 900+ fps too..
