Q:

Huma reg in gen 1/2/3

I fitted one so i can keep 2 regs set at 2 different pressures, it seems the .25 comes with the longer and thinner walled plenum than the original so potentially more power, if you into that. seems like 10-20% more volume to me.

I made my Reg pullers, one’s a 3mm for the Huma the others a 4mm for the Vulcan

yes, i ended up also reinstalling my old, there is not much difference inside

noticed the one on the right(huma) has a grubscrew in deep(invisible on the pictures) which slows down the refill process, it was extremely slow to refill. when i dumped the pressure by pushing on the valve pin near 0bar, it kept puffing air out forever again and again. I had to keep pushing in the valve pin

did not come with any seat/seal or any spare or o rings. But it was also set to what i asked to, happy too. Could not see the marking on the scale or anywhere though… keeping as a spare too.

I use a paper washer between the plenum and the valve body, the plenum is thinner walled on the huma and is lot taller.

the hole for the extraction screw on the AGT is thicker i left the screws in so you get the idea.

if you get a huma get rid of the screw inside the tower, should help with the refill time :8:

Mike, I ordered my Huma reg because my OEM reg for my .22 Vulcan was not holding air. Every time I tried to adjust my reg it went past 135 bar all the way up to 200bar. Replaced O-rings again and same thing was happening. When I ordered my Huma reg,I asked Huma if they’d set the reg to 135 bar, and when it came in seven days later, which was fast, I checked it and it was set at 135 bar. Inserted Huma reg and gun shot real well, + – 6 ft per sec. Three days later AGT sent me their latest regulator, the low pressure side looked just like the Huma. So I pulled out the Huma and inserted the new Vulcan reg, and it shot real good also. So I left the new Vulcan reg in and I’m keeping the Huma for a backup

The Huma reg must be a very good regulator , Its all over the FX sites , Seems to be a fix all over there.
If its a better shot count, More power, seems like a pretty good deal, I have Crickets tuned by Earnest that I have been shooting six years and never opened them up, Are the Huma regs just a lot better then the OEM regs?
Mike

I haven’t pulled my reg out of my Vulcan2 yet to compare, but sooner or later it’s going to happen.
