I guess the $1100-$1300 price tag was a myth

Thank you Hoot, I needed that because my itchy “Place Order” finger was hovering over keyboard just seconds before I read this.
It will be a cold day in hell before I pay $1500 USD for a clone of a small fire extinguisher!
.22 caliber, 30 fpe….I can piss harder than that!
Originally it was a 24″ pcp, manually indexed magazine, and for a $1000 it would have fit a niche that few air guns currently fill, a reasonably powerful sub-compact pcp. The Edgun Lelya is less expensive…I still want one. Tiny and incredibly accurate.
However, what does a 29″, semi-auto pcp provide in our extreme accuracy oriented air gun world? No semi-auto pcp has ever sold well in this market. Evanix tried, but there is no runaway demand for their products in semi-auto, although in .30 caliber hog and ‘Yote shooting, it does have a valid use…if you are a poor shot! I’d buy an Evanix Tactical, large caliber, lever loading, pcp, before I’d waste $500 more on a .22 caliber converted fire extinguisher. Who gives a rat’s ass if it can shoot itself empty in less than five seconds!
A magazine is handy when it comes to a day, or night, of popping pests. It makes no difference to me whether I can shoot 12 pellets in five seconds, or five minutes. After the first shot, the game is dead, the rest have scattered. Then you wait awhile for the next opportunity to shoot. If I’m target shooting, a rapid rate of fire only diminishes my accuracy. Been there, done that.
In summation: It’s fugly, it’s costly, it adds nothing useful to our hobby…and they want us to pay a premium $1500 USD for the privilege of owning one! It still can’t out shoot an Edgun, or a standard Cricket. It only permits us to shoot a lot of expensive pellets really fast…and since when has that ever been in demand, or had any practical application for air gun shooting????
A year from now, I’ll bet you couldn’t sell it for half of what you paid!
Think hard before you jump on a new model, untested, expensive, semi-auto, air gun! There’s proven lever/bolt action magazine fed performers available for that kind of money.
Hoot:
We got two Ford Escape Titanium’s. 4WD isn’t an option on these Ozark foothills in ice and snow. They are pretty roomy and have a lot of power at 270 ft lbs of torque but the mixed mileage is lower than the Fusion – especially with the 4WD. Hers does not have the automated parallel parking and driving sensors or the upgraded platinum white paint (pearl) paint like mine but is otherwise the same. Hers does have a class 3 trailer hitch.
We wanted awd but the one we got only lacked that from being full boogie, regret not getting it already. I like the car but a bit small for me, she is just fun size so she likes it alot.
Is that 4WD? I saw the new Fusion Titanium’s in the showroom had $36k stickers. wow.
Secoda, my airgun collection has cost me a new Ford Fusion Titanium for the wife: she got that same camper last year ๐
I will check them out after dinner, can’t afford to miss a meal and maintain my physique :winkn:

Yep. A bit far to ship. I meant he could order a custom spare stock . :butkick:
My wife wanted to upgrade the RV to a new large trailer with a living room power slide-out (and a nice HDTV mounted in it and fancy stereo w/ DVD player, electric awning, outside grill attachment, large refrigerator, tandem axle, etc.) and found the one of her dreams on Saturday. As we were signing the paperwork I confessed to her and the RV dealer on the .177 Compact Cricket order. ๐ ๐ ๐ Timing is everything with the wives. ๐
Iยดm pretty curious what you have to say about the Bug .. :fishinghole:
That is a little far to ship !! when the stocks are irreplaceable, remember the no parts deal, I asked already. I am anxious to see too. I am like the little kid wanting candy just like Ernest described ๐ , My wife be like ๐ And while I am playing with smiles, she also be like :butkick: if she ever gets around to counting these things.[/quote]

Like Microsoft Windows I will be interested in version 3.0 of the Hummingbird – maybe next fall….
Have you seen all of the problems the Bobcats have been having over on the Yellow. I just happened to take a look over there and was surprised. ๐ฏ

Right again! The first one was really hideous.
I like the Edgun looks fairly well but in all fairness and as I mentioned in the P12 thread, there would be a nice little business opportunity for a wood worker with a CNC to do a little trimming here and there especially on the grip area and then refinish the stocks. I think you would be covered up. I have not until tomorrow !!! wrapped my hand around a Cricket grip but if looks and recommendations are right it is the best feel offered. A friend in Louisiana recoutoured his Edy grips and they were greatly improved and felt nice, I just do not possess the wood working talents to do so in a way that I would be satisfied with.
There is only one thing worst than the current bobcat…. That would be the 1st gen bobcat. I still can’t look my self in the mirror.

I would find it interesting if for no other reason than I shot left handed. Other than that, Meah
Now if they would make a left handed cricket, Yeah, baby!
