Q:

HW80 vs HW95

Im in a middle of a dilemma.
I might buy a Weihrauch airgun and I reduced the list to 2 finalists: HW80 and HW95.
So i was hopping you could help me deciding.
I made some research but the forums and sites contradict themselves.
SO WHAT ARE THE REAL DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THIS 2 RIFLES??? 😕 😕 😕 ❓

Nice guns you have Johnbaz.
I was wondering about the precision of the HW95. How precise is this rifle in absolute terms and in relative terms (compared with the HW80)?
Best regards from Portugal.

I think weight should be considered in spring guns, the extra weight may adsorb some of the recoil, thus making it a tad more desirable.

hi

i have both, true, the 80 is heavier but has a larger cylinder and the potential for much more power than the 95.
my 95 isd almost new and hits nice and hard for a rifle with only a small swept volume 😉
if the 80’s are powered up too much, then my experience is that accuracy goes out of the window, i bought a hw80 a few years ago that had the piston packed with weights, this took the power well over what we’re allowed here in the uk and it was difficult to hit an A4 sied piece of paper at 25 metres, i removed the weights and it was instantly legal but more importantly accuracy was spot on 😉

here’s my 95

and my 2 hw80’s

regards, john 😛

I have already looked there. The only difference I could find was the height (Hw80 is heavier than the HW95)
