Q:

Hydro testing your bottle

I’ve been a member here for a couple of months and have read lots and lots and lots of posts but have not come across any mention of someone having the bottle from their gun hydro tested.
Every time I get my scuba tanks filled, they tell me when my tanks are due for testing.
I’m just wondering if anybody actually gets their gun bottles tested.
I would really hate to have THAT grenade go off while I’m holding it up against my cheek. Could get messy!
Any feedback?

Thanks for your reply Reaper! I’m running a factory Air Force bottle so I guess I won’t worry too much about it, unless of course it gets damaged somehow.

any tank under 2″ diameter is void of needing a hydro test. this may be why you dont see people talking about it. NOW, thats speaking for 3000psi tanks, i cannot speak for 4500psi units as i would assume they need a hydro but not nearly as often as a CF wrapped tank.
