Q:

I am so impressed with my 22 Mutant

My LW 25 Cricket and my 22 CZ cricket are bad to the bone , Super accurate, Little pellet picky,
My 25 Veteran LW barrel also loves JSB pellets,
Well my Mutant 22 with the Linstone barrel will shoot any thing, I have not found a pellet it does not like , Cheap ass Wal-Mart pellets , off beat Crossman pellets Piranha stamped, Even the Eunjin 32.4 gr pellets group well. Its like throwing a brick under handed but the group is there.
I also have a CZ barrel that cost me 200 bucks shoots the JSB 16 gr super good and the 18 gr , But that’s about it, Polymags are like a shot gun out of the CZ barrel,
Why is the Linstone barrel so forgiving with the different pellets ?
My guess is these are one off barrels imported on here for the 22 mutant , I think D man had a hand in on them some how,

.

I did the measurement as best I could back when I got it from Dman.
It’s darn hard to measure such a short barrel.
Had to multiply the twist rotation I got by 2 times so there is a chance it could be 1:16, but I need to remeasure again.

What are the specs of the Linstone barrels? Twist rate and lands and groove diameters and choke diameter?

1:15
Bore dia = 5.42mm
Choke dia = 5.39mm
12 lands/grooves.

I don’t know and like to measure groove diameters ……. sorry.

hmmm…. A little faster twist than BSA original barrels. Would love to see some different range 25, 50, 100, 150… etc testing?

I am just trying to research different barrel types and see if there is correlation between them with accuracy at different distances? If I had boat load of money I would just do my own study and have barrels made but I don’t have a boat diffidently do not have the cash. LOL

PS: I have NO connections to manufacture or distributors for Linstone barrels

I would like to know why you need this Info on the linstone barrel ?
Do you have any connection with the importer, I would love to have one of these barrels for my 25 Cricket, Or even my 25 veteran both have the LW barrels,
My 22 mutant with the Linstone barrel is the only pcp I have that can shoot just about any thing you stick in the barrel, Its one of the reasons I love the gun so much. Now I am sure there is a reason for that but its a little over my head. I bought a 200 dollar CZ barrel for it and its accurate with the 16gr JSB pellets, I have not found another pellet the CZ likes , I am still looking,
It would be worth it to me to try a Linstone barrel on my 25 Cricket, or my 25 Veteran,

Your questions are way over my head,
I looked back over the mutant stuff and there was talk about the CZ barrel and the crap barrel the came on some Mutants ,
I do not remember any chatter about the Linstone barrel unless I started it.
So no help from me,
Greg, GKU might know?

Yes, they do seem to like everything you feed it.

But my CZ seem to shooting the JSB 18 & 16g a bit tighter then my Linstone.
Have the most of JSB in 18 & 16g so until I run low on them, till then I’m keeping the CZ mounted.

The Linstone barrel has a razor like lands smooth throughout to the choke which is quite short at about 1/2″ out the front.

All-in-all I/we can swap out anytime !

Got my Mutant 22 Shorty tuned to shoot JSB 16g @ 800 fps.
Easily with Donny’s HST tomorrow who knows JSB 18g @ 820 …… maybe ?
