I damaged my valve.
In my constant messing around with my top hat I noticed I have put small dents in the valve body from over tightening the top hat set screws. Everything SEEMS to still work fine. Do you guys see any problems? Should I just order a new valve?

if its just tiny dents dont worry about it
if the wall has a huge dent then just fix it….find a drill that fits and push it down there, with the end of the drill you normally chuck …you might have to start with a small drill and working your way up in size….
when mouting the tophat, i dont use the screws on a condor valve…but rather crazy glue…that 10 second stuff…you have to know how many turns cause once the crazy glue binds its not going anywhere…how ever…if it needs adjusting, you can hold the tophat over a candle, and with an allenscrew in the screw hole have some pressure on it…once it starts turning do your adjusting quick…cause once it cools down it will get bind again, you can do this 2-3 more times and glue will still work, if you want glue to totally give up. just heat it some more….but do this without the delrin valveseat on the stem as this might melt
my condor is the same, it’s the thin wall, I’v thought about a new stem and locktite just havent done it yet
Not if I don’t have to. Just wanted to get ppls. opinions to make sure more damage wouldn’t be coming my way from using it. Yeah, when you look down in the valve you can see where I tightened it too much.
my condor valve is the same way (can actually see indents inside the valve stem from the th set screws. Doesn’t seem to hurt anything. A new valve stem from AF would be all you need, not a whole valve. probably pretty cheap if you just want to change it.
