Q:

I got the new Multishot !!! ;)

Right now i´m holding the new MS breech in my hands and i´ll post pics later tonight when i get home. This one has been long time coming and now it´s here-finally. I got it as a warranty replacement (long story,no time now) and i have to say it´s three times more robust and has five times better finish than my original R3 breech. The magazine(s) are also aluminium without any dumb springs or such to deform the pellets.
Well – like said pics are coming later tonight and we´ll test the bugger on Friday and see how it performs. Report to follow…. 😎

Pretty slick!!!

Does anyone know if that is an EdGun magazine or from another rifle?

Great photos too!

Nice video. I see the mod to ball detent on magazine allowing it to cycle over ball easier.

No springs. There is an oring on the screw that holds the lever that creates a little tension against the mag. The cycling of the mag is done by the lever and the cam.

So is there a spring in block by mag that pushes paw lever to cycle mag when bolt is drawn back?

You know I was just messing with you lol.. I’ve been waiting for an opportunity to drop the blue pill joke in this testosterone filled forum. Glad to hear the polymags fit the mag. Next time you see Dr KillE see if the mags fit under the weaver rail as mentioned on the R3M models. I wonder if Ed had to modify the height to fit them. Or being the genius that he is, he already planned for it with the R3.

Yep. Test your testosterone level before logging in … 😉

The answer your question Donny about mag and weaver rail is….. YES! they fit, four of them if you like.
Picture in the same link as before.

Operator error!? Hmmppff Actually I didn’t count them but of course YOU did. 😡

I’m from the same kindergarten as Ville on singleshot and precision airguning, mostly I think because of airguns in general has been singelshot.

Now the mag has gotten a ones over with the grinder and the feeding is much smoother.
From now on any misses is pure operator error 😉

I waited all night yesterday for this review lol.. thought you both choked on your blue pill or something. Great pictures Dr KrillE, thanks again to you and Sir Ville.

Donny,Donny,Donny … You do realize we´re in totally different time zones ?? 🙄 I´ve been at the motocross track since early morning and haven´t got the time needed. I type like a Monkey (with two index fingers) so reviews take some time 😉
And to answer to your question whether Polymags would fit – they do with little space to spare even. I have to kinda disagree Dr. Evil´s notion on those three missed feeds since i think the first was: He had already shot all 10 shots and the second was due the fact he forgot to engage the side lever so it´d index the mag. The third miss was also operator error since he didn´t push the probe all the way in …

I´ve been an advocate of single shots on precision airguns all along so i went into the test with somewhat biased opinion but the more i shot it (didn´t shoot too many rounds since i was busy kicking Dr´s ass 😆 destroying chalk targets we had as marks) the better it felt and now, after some mags, i´m sure the multishot is very useful for hunting and such – i still prefer the single shot when extreme precision is needed. Whether it makes any difference or not in the real world remains to be seen.

One thing i found odd was the probe and it´s movement compared to my rusty, but trusty SS – it takes more force to yank it back and the length of the action feels a lot longer than on the SS. Now – i have the old R3 modell single load (that made of genuine Russian steel recycled from those old Red Army tanks) and those with the new alu-breech may feel right at home since the cocking handle is located at the same position (farther behind the breech) than on the old version but for me it felt a bit awkward. Nothing one can´t get accustomed to after little usage but nevertheless.

I like those alum. mags and the total absence of any dumb springs that would deform pellet skirts.
If i get one more EdGun it´ll be with a MS. Why you all ask? Just so the honorable Dr. isn´t the only one in Sweden with one !

It disengages the arm that feeds the mag so it can rotate freely.

now what does the lever on the left side of the breech do?

Here’s pictures for those interested and yes I’m no professional photographer

Small words from a big man… or something, Ville!
I don’t see any review of the multishot 😯

Here goes absolutely nothing
The mythical multishot…
A nice piece of engineering marvel in it’s simplicity, as the rest of the EDgun.
The finish on the outside as well as the machining on the internals is top notch.

Initially I found it a bit rough and not feeding properly and took it apart for some TLC.
Got it mounted and arranged a date with a rabid finnish guy at the shooting range.

It felt much better now and after some 150-200 pellet it’s better still.
The feeding mechanism missed about 3 times which I can live with and I think with some more use it will get even smoother.

Now i wanted to include some pictures but I keep getting error message “FILE_SIZE_LIMIT_EXCEEDED”, why?
