I have a Question about the fps of a Beeman P3 pistol…
…I picked one up from the yellow for a good price. The gun is in mint consmetic condition…but when I ran it through the crony with RWS 8.2gr Meisters it only ran around 365 fps.
Beeman claims 410 fps and I wonder if anyone knows what weight pellet they get this number from???
Assuming it is a pellet that is one full gr lighter then the one I used—say 7.2gr—would that account for the 45 fps difference that I am seeing on my crony???
I did manage a 1/2″ group at 20 yards with the 1.7x pistol scope and a shot keeper target using brown box cp hp’s…
Thanks in advance for your answers.

Thanks Rob!
I even burned up the last of that pellet sampler you sent me through it.
Do you have any pellet recommendations for it?
No sir… Dont have the P3… but I do have a couple Beeman labelled Marksman 2004’s… one that I modified to give me around 485fps using mid weight pellets. I added a Daisy ‘soda straw’ barrel via a bit of creative engineering and with a bit of internal tweaking…. turned out to be a fun project and quite accurate with most pellets.
This was my first group with it in the basement after the mods… obviously not sighted in. I wanted to do a 5 shot group, but pulled one so I did 6.
Rob, you never cease to amaze me 😀 That is pretty cool indeed 😎 So are you going to give me a hint on the Power mod??? 😉
