Q:

I hear no more about the R&L Marauder bull pups

Hoot and a couple others got them, then I haven’t heard any more about them. I thought Gaska and Citrus were making a high quality kit too but have only seen one.

Now that would be interesting! Knida a L-rod for Lela rod. 😉 😀

I spoke to Maddog about his orders, and he said he was busy every day making stocks. Recall Doug makes these stocks by hand, one at a time! With him it’s all about quality, not quantity. Randy has to have his parts custom cut by a CNC contractor, and that time must be rented. So Randy has to wait in line with the rest of the cuztomers.

I suspect Jim and Citrus are the same way.

Both these producers are known for quality, so reports are going to take awhile to filter in.

It may take awhile to obtain their product, but we are assured of consistency of quality, and that’s worth waiting for!

I think the one thing that’s true in this hobby is the “Best” takes time, and isn’t cheap. Also, I noticed none of these bullpup owners are putting their ‘pups up for resale! That’ s a good indication they are satisfied with a rather unique version of a very popular pcp.

I sweat nights thinking of a Prod bullpup! What a nifty little powerplant that rascal would make!!!

The Cricket trigger really is a good one considering all the rods and shit connected to it. With a modicum of skill and patience it can be adjusted nearly match-like. Good stuff! I was able to make the R3 trigger very good and crisp too but it lacks the numerous possibilities for adjustment Cricket has. I liked the R3 trigger but i had the older modell with two adj. screws (although i removed one per OG) instead the new humpback version – which is said to actually have less adjustability and feel to it. Don´t know if that´s the case though.

As I type this R&L has run out of parts again with a lot of orders according to his web site. The only modification I am making to mine is to replace the trigger with one shaped like a Cricket trigger because I really like the feel of it but it is totally unnecessary. I also lightened the trigger significantly. 🙂 This isn’t a heavy Marauder forum like GTA is. I almost always post about my Benjamin’s over there.
