I just had SHoebox upgrade my compressor
I opted for the belt drive, finned cylinders, hardened steel pistons and a experimental curly que air lines.
Total cost was $182. and change which included me sending it to them minus the motor.
Tom is so easy to deal with, and replaced a lot of things for free.
The single best investment in air gunning I have made.
And unlike Crosman mouth pieces, I recieved no canned hunts for this endorsement, just great honest service. 😛

I have found 2 things out with the Shoe box.
1. You develop some thing I call Shoe Box Syndrome or SBS.
Symptoms are running out of pellets faster then before and weight gain from no longer running that damn hand pump!! 😉
2. And most important is GREAT customer service.
Has anyone else noticed SBS?
As for noise I run mine in my wine room. With the standard air compressor in another room, with the belt drive I can stand there and talk to the wife with out screaming. DOWN side of this is that I can hear her!

Outstanding Tom! It is so cool that a high pressure compressor can be purchased for little more than a good hand pump. It’s even more of a bargin when one considers that you take good care of your customers. Kudos Tom. 😀
If you have been thinking about buyin a Shoebox compressor, go for it! Come on in, the water’s fne. It’s just too cool to have your own compressor. 😎

I’ve been looking at a fill setup and could use some advice/info on where, what kind of desiccant works well and which desiccants can be reused. Since there are a few places such a filter can be installed, I’m curious what works best. thanks!

I got one of your Shoebox compressors about a year ago. I have been too lazy to hook it up and use it! I live a few blocks from 2 fire houses that fill my SCBA tanks for free.
Guess that I need to send you my Shoebox and have it upgraded, just in case.

The curly-q’s didn’t make it. The new fittings had a problem with too much plating. I will send some when I get them right.

Mine makes no noise, or I should say it sounds more like a UPS truck…it is still enroute via UPS. 😆

I’ve been thinking about the belt drive myself, how about a little evaluation of your new mods. Is the belt that much quieter? I run mine in the basement and it’s surrounded by insulation to keep the noise down.
Mine did come with the hardened rods and I have over 100 hrs. on it was no loss of performance yet, love this thing.

I pump momma for the exercise I miss from the air gun pump. She brings me coffee and dotes on me in that asian wife way, does that count as customer sevice? 😛
Next I need to teach her to cast bullets and change/dry out the filters on the shoebox.
Oh yeah Tom gives good service also, but not quite in the same way.
