i just installed a condor valve in
my talon.
now…when top hat adjusted at its higher settings, the bolt will not turn to lock. the top hat will not allow it to travel far enough in to be able to turn it down.
is that a problem? to leave the bolt handle ‘unturned’ when shooting at higher top hat adjustments?
suggestions? cures? not to worry? 😯 😕 🙁

Is the valve fully seated? That seems like a lot of stick out unless you have the tophat dialed way out. If the tophat is screwed mostly in place, are you sure the valve is seated? Fire it a few times as-is and see if it doesn’t seat deeper.

Why would you want to have that much gap? Most go with something around .080 – .090 or somewhere close. You do not need a gap of .175.
0.175″ with the TH fully “open”…
how much gap is between the bottom of top hat and tank?

I am going to take a guess that the stem is seated and he just has the top hat screwed out as far as the threads allow based on his posts.
