I just splattered a SODA can at 446 yards today
THAT’S A 1/4 MILE!
With an AIRGUN.
And of course guys, i got it on video…lol!
The bullet i used arrives at 450 yards with 108 FPE!…..lol! From muzzle (890 FPS) to 450 yards, it only looses about 192 FPS…lol!
Sorry guys! I’m just tickled to death………………..
BTW, of course!……..IT WAS THE TD257!

Harry,
I reload my own ammo and have for over 20 years now! The only ammo i buy is rimfire fodder.
The 6.5 caliber was carefully selected by me. I wanted to replace my 308 cal for something with the same power but had much better BC. It was between a 7mm Mag and the 6.5 Swede. Th Swede suited me better.
The 6.5 and 7mm bullets have some of the HIGHEST BCs for being LIGHTER bullets than the Heavy 30’s and 33 cals. The 6.5 also has a damn high sectional density.
The Tikka name of guns are also well built and ultra reliable. OH YEAH, THEY ARE FUCKING AWESOMELY ACCURATE without having to rebarrel it. The factory barrel and my handloads gets me a tad over 1/4 MOA at 110 yards. I pillar bedding the action and added lead weight to the entire stock.
I LOVE MY TIKKA
😆
Well done!
Bloody awesome shooting Tofaz, you’ve probably just set the standard at which other long range shooters will measure themselves.
I’m looking forward to the video.
Thats not an ordinary Caliber, but at least you can still find Swedish Mauser ammo for a reasonable price. Everything else is all Sold Out. Did you buy that Tactical rifle with the intent of having it in a caliber other than .223 or .308,, or did it just fall in your lap? I have always wanted something in .220 Swift, but they are a little pricey per squeeze. Then again I have always wanted a .458 Win Mag but those cost $4-5 bucks a squeeze. Maybe after I win the lottery 😀
Jerry,
I still own you and Gary and the rest of the guys that GRAPE shot at 100 yards. Oh YEAH BUDDY…..I AINT FORGOT…. 😆
Now that is some serious drop. holly cows my hat is off to you! 😯
You’ll never hit anything with that loopy trajectory! Oh, never mind!
😆
Well done!
Jesse,
I know, i’m one of them….lol! I tried for 7 shots with my Tikka T3 in 6.5×55 Swede and i came DAMN CLOSE. But no cigar. Of course too, i was shooting 500 yards with my Tikka. I’m sure the next time i try with my Tikka it will go well. At least that gun/bullet compared to my Condor shoots hella flat and its only 2 mildots worth of drop at 500 yards compared to 452″ of drop at 450 yards with my Condor……lol 😯 😆
Thanx guys.
Video coming soon!
Most people can’t even do that with a powder burner…….all I can say is wow nice shooting! 😀
WOW ❗
YOU MADE THE CROSSOVER AND THE PROMISED LAND IS YOURS ❗
Well, You said you were going to stretch it out, and I would say “YOU HAVE”!!! 😯 😀
Mike
Thanx Guys!
Walter,
I definitely practiced first by shooting at a rock face that the targets would be placed on during the actual shoot. I definitely peppered the rock face good…lol!
It takes over 100 MOA to reach out there and my scope doesn’t even have half of that. So practice to see if i could get over there was necessary.
But once the cans were set up, it took 2 shots to tumble the first can, the another 1 shot to tumble the second can then the 4th and final shot blasted DEAD CENTER the 3rd and final can. That was good enough for me and the wind picked up pretty badly so i stopped!
I also shot at 230 yards and blasted 6 cans in a row. I missed the 1st can for 2 shots but once i hit it, the other 5 fell with one shot apiece.
So 1/8 and 1/4 mile shots were accomplished today
Tof? that sounds awful close to Tef, might could get them confused….
Tofaz, incredible shooting….. how many shots did it take? 🙂
That’s awesome Tof, looking forward to the video. Cutting edge stuff man…
