Q:

I killed a Blue Jay !!

Don’t you just hate these birds, I do!

When out hunting they are the woods alarm, they go into alert mode and notify every critter for miles that you are there.

Chill out tree huggers, I did not shoot the bird.

I shot my GTBJ shroud. I don’t know what happened, a bad pellet, loaded it backwards, I don’t know. But it blew out several washers and grommets and everything came out the front. After putting things back together the gun shot awful, could not even get on paper at 35 feet, shroud off, no problems, back on…cant even get on paper. Guess I will have to play with it more in the next few days. The arrangement of washers and grommets and spacers is more critical than i had thought.

This is not meant as an attack on the GTBJ shroud, It has worked very well for a long time, I would RECOMMEND it to anyone.
Damn gun

LMAO!

Yes, Back on POI after cleaning lead particles out of lcd.

I would think older unit, Gun bought used here a year ago, came with LCD. Last owner told me he had gun a year or so. Most likely gun/lcd 2-3 years old.

Thanks again

that looks like it’s one of my first ones… you have had that think for a long time 😎

are you back on poi being poa?

I have no problem at all fixing that thing for you, I do stand behind what I build ya know….

quote get the blue jay:

You Goof Ball 😆

Ya see, we are getting acquainted 😆 😆

Thank you for your offer, very nice of you.

But, I’m kinda old fashioned, just not comfortable with another man messing with my tube.

Here is what I did…took apart cleaned..did below

3 little screws holding it all together, they will be replaced with little hex screws on next trip to hardware store.
Those 3 screws, a little Krylon..as good as new. In fact better, the only GTBJ shroud in the world that can be taken apart for cleaning..you should make this an option and charge an extra 10 bucks for it.

You Goof Ball 😆

send that thing back to me and I’ll fix or replace it if you fucked things up too bad…lol

really send it back, and I’ll get ya back sooting quietly and on poa 😉

btw – I shoot every blue jay that I can put a mil dot on!

Mrnewbie,
That’s a funny post, bummer about your shroud. Good luck. 😀

How would adjusting your scope cure a clipping problem? Inquiring minds need to know.

Yep, sounds like a clipping problem to me, you could try adjusting your scope a couple clicks to the left, it worked for me.
