Q:

I love this baby!!! Talon SS

This is what I call a real gun. Airhog has done an exceptional job at making sure the gun shoots fine. I sighted this gun in at about maybe 20 yards and started to sight in and to my amazement, whatever shot you took was that and even if you had to adjust up/down, left/right…it was also that too…none of this jumping around from clear across the paper to the other side and I got my first bushy tail. It came flying down from the tree branches stoned dead and I’m a believer. I drove to Cabelas and got me a case to put my new baby in and I know she’ll do me proud!

You’re right!!! Nothing will make me go back to springers. They do have their own in the air rifle history though. I do give them credit for what they’ve been through. But PCP is another whole new world. It’s a whole new animal!!!

Welcome to the darkside…..they call it that for a reason….once you go pcp you have dark forces keeping you from going back to springers and lower power C02. T SS is a sweet lil package….love mine too.

shrpshotr28,

Yes, you’re exactly right. Nothing will make me go back to spring rifles now. They just don’t compare. I did start out with a daisy then moved onto a pump pneumatic from Benjamin Sheridan 397…that was an all out good gun too once sighted in, but too much of a workout pumping 5-10 times to get what you want out of it and by then your quarry will have already left. With the Talon or any Airforce guns, they can run all all they want to because there’s no pumping air and all you do is load up, aim, and retrieve….hahahahaha

I did have a Gamo Varmint hunter too, but there’s recoil and you have to learn how to hold it correctly or most of the time you’ll miss and best of all I like that the Airforce guns come in .22 caliber. The .177 are just getting too old for me and the .22 and the Talon make a good combination with power and shock to these bushy tails. I bet they never knew what hit them in the first place.

Lilj,

Welcome……..to the forum ………and the addiction 😀 😀 😀

😯 Yes, it is amazing what they will do. 😯

Especially if your definition of adult airgun was previously a Gamo from WalMart.

You bet…next time I will take pictures of the kill along with my gun. But I must say that with PCP and HPA..it’s a perfect killer combination. I’m target practicing with low power from 2-4 and still shot a bushy tail from in the trees above with 2-4 and he dropped dead. This thing is amazing. I got my bipod on order already from Airhog. I’m looking for a scope varmint light like the big ones from Cabelas but I have not found it. Also, trying to look into the scope takes a bit of practice, but once you tilt your head the right amount you can see what you want to kill.

This is my first PCP and I was thinking of getting the Benjamin Discovery too, but then I was deciding on an Airforce Talon SS too, but what made me turn to Airforce was that you can change barrels and you can dial the power up or down and that’s what got my attention. Again, you get what you pay for and I’m loving my Talon SS, I went and got an aluminum case for it today. It even has straps in it so that I can strap the gun down in it and the foam inside keeps it from moving or shifting around and I love every bit of it!

DAMN,

You got me squirmin like a worm on a hook. 😉 I will order mine as soon as the bank account gets right. It is very encouraging to hear how well everyone likes thier TSS. Look forward to hearing more stories from ya…make sure to include some pics.

Peace,

HPA…. I don’t feel a need for CO2. and I love HPA. I fill with a scuba tank and it’s still going on strong!

Are you shooting co2 or hpa?
I have yet to shoot hpa
god I can’t wait
