Q:

i’m geting fustrated

🙂 guy’s i’m building a shroud and am having alot of trouble.the gun keep’s blowing the shroud off.my shroud is a 1″ ali tube with a pvc cover.the cover has 2 set screws in it and the stock end cap as one in it and a lowes plastic knob screw threw the frame is holding the 1″ ali tube in the frame.when i put internals in i can not keep the damn thing on.with the internals out it will stay on the gun but it still moves.my internals only consisted of a spring and washers and o-rings.i love the gun it is very powerful and accurate but i would love to quiet it down some.any help would be great.

🙂 boy i fell dumb now 🙄 .i’m back on the road thank’s guys.tommorow it will get paint and a sight in.for the internals(internals for dummies) i’m using 1- 2″ chamber then a washer then one 1 1/2″ spring then 8 washers sandwiched by o-rings it definitely took the edge off.is there something else what would work better?thank’s

🙂 thank’s guys i will give that a try today and let you know how i make out.

the four set screws mentioned above would definitely be sturdy, but all that should be needed is the countersink (crater, dimple) in the shroud for the single screw through the frame to seat into when tightened.

Friction alone will not hold on the shroud.

As has been said; A dimple needs to be drilled for the set screw to seat into and that will keep things on the gun. Also make sure there is no slop at all in the setup.

🙂 thanks bikin.what about the one going thru the frame i’m assuming i need to indent that one also.will this will eliminate my problem?is this normal?thank’s

Drill some “craters” where the set screw will hit, so there is no chance of it moving. And use 4 set screws.
