idk where i should post this but i guess ill do it here….. wats better a daystate air ranger 80 or my current condor .25 i am considering selling my condor and getting the air ranger or i could wait till around christmas a buy the air ranger then…. or if at all what air gun would u guys recomend for the price range of $400 to $1600 cause to me the air ranger seems best……ur guys opion would be appriciated…

Pigs and coyotes are going to be best handled by a 308 or larger….but much depends on what kind of shot you are willing to take. Both have been taken with much smaller guns, but that depends on the hunter. I dont have pigs around my parts, but do have coyotes. Am lucky to get a 100 yard shot so I wouldnt dream of taking them with anything less than a 308 at those ranges. Anything less than those two would be easily dispatched by a MCT Wolf or similar.
Far as the figured posted, you cannot compare the shit marketing tactics of Gamo to a company such as Daystate. These guns will meet or exceed the stated numbers with no problem.
well i do target practice out to 100 yards and small game hunting (i started just recently) from bunnys to cyotes….. and on occasion wild pigs maybe once a year…. only thing is idk how much fpe is needed for cyotes or pigs… but i know that the air wolf is more $$$$$ but ah well… how many shots per fill does the .25 air ranger 80 get i found it on daystates website but i hav learned not to trust figures posted by the manufactorer (ex. gamo) ???

I have a Wolf MCT in .22 and for what I do with it, it’s great. High power is 36fpe for around 120 shots and low power is 28fpe for around 250 shots…. I keep it on low power because I can take any game I wish to shoot at with a small bore with it. Accuracy on the MCT is stellar… When I had a Ranger, I thought that was the cats ass…. the MCT is a step up. Both are exceptional guns.
yeah… i like the daystates but ill wait and save up im not gonna sell my condor because i relize now the daystates and airforces are in two different categorys.. one is extreme power and alright shot strings (af) and one is great power with great shot strings (ds) and as a second opinion which one do guys think is better air ranger 80 or air wolf mct im not sure which one is better???
Rob knows his airguns, that’s for sure. Maybe you just want an 80ft lb Ranger because you do. That’s enough for me. He’s right, keep the Condor. Really, what are you going to do with the gun?
I really like my .25 Marauder. It was relatively cheap. It’s very accurate thanks to the Green Mountain barrel. I tuned it to get 850 fps with 31gr Kodiaks, that’s almost 50 ft lbs. there are many critters that a guy could kill clean with that combination. It’s not a sexy rifle, but it shoots really well. My experience with it has given me confidence.
If you really want the Ranger, buy it. If you settle for something else, you’ll end up kicking yourself for not buying thr Ranger now, and will buy the Ranger sometime in the future. Cut to the chase; buy the Ranger. 😀
I suppose my question to you would be ‘what will you use it for’.
I own a couple of Daystates and several AF products. They all have their place.
The Condor will have more power potential if that’s your goal. The Daystate will be far more refined. Accuracy is a wash, but realize that with the 80fpe Air Ranger, you are going to need to use special lead.
If your goal is going to be small game up to fox sized animals, then I wouldnt bother with the 80fpe version and stick with the 50 or even 35fpe version.
If you enjoy tinkering and modding, then the AF platform will better suit you.
There isnt a lot of modding that the average person will want to do on the Daystate.
If you sell the Condor, you’ll want another… you’ll get the bug again sooner or later. Best to save up for the Ranger if that’s what you’re wanting.
……but again…. be realistic with what you ‘really’ want.
I’ve seen people come on board and want the baddest airgun on the planet and then the largest thing they shoot with it is a groundhog. Could have easily done that with a 35fpe Ranger or the like and have many more shots on a fill.
If it’s bragging rights you are wanting, then stay with the Condor…. that is, until you start to delve into the big bores.

And as far as 100 yard accuracy on the Wolf, take a look at Ted in Madisons review on the MCT on YouTube. 100 yards is nothing for that gun.
