I over tightened TH screws, please help

I overtightened TH screws and can see indents when I look into the valve, I can’t turn the TH and am worried that the indents will effect the air flow. I am not sure what I need to replace these parts, can anyone help me. Also, the valve was tuned by Tony, are the replacement parts going undo what he did? Or do I need a brand new tuned valve from him, which I shouldn’t be buying right now.

I’m retarded and stubborn, that’s just how I am and it will probably never change. I wasn’t sure if it was tuned for max power, consitancy, or shot count. I was hoping I would be able to push the heavier ammo a little faster. Didn’t think there would be any harm in it. I got it back to where it was and now I know how the valve works. Also the spring inside the valve was rusty and corroded, so I cleaned it off and oiled it.

Don’t take this the wrong way. I’m not trying to be a “Joedouchebag”. But why were you messing with a valve you already had tuned by Tony?

I got some numbers with the valve I messed up.
.25 Kodiaks, 2800 psi, PW11, TH .08

961.4 Still lower than before, but higher than the first so I figured I may need to use my stiffer spring from Drum.

I figured since you didn’t ask how to remove the stem that you had it covered. 😉

I used the shaft of the drill bit, so I don’t think I damaged anything. I’ll know tommorow for sure.

You pushed the drill bits and pushed the stem back to round right, you didn’t actually drill the stem…? 😯 😉 😆 I realized I may not have been very clear…

Got everything put back together, valve stem looks much better, and TH is adjustable again. Went to my sisters to get air, but was only able to get it to 2000psi so I got some pumping to do. It is holding air and a huge rampage has been averted. Hopefully I will get my consistent numbers back.

A is totally incorrect and B hold true for anything you are tightening… The TH as it comes set from the factory uses far too much air, those looking for increased performance adjust the tophat. If it isn’t supposed to be adjusted then why is it adjustable? 🙄

If you can remove the stem from the valve and slowly push larger and larger drill bits through it until it gets back to shape that may work… A good post I saw here was to put a drill bit in the stem when tightening the th screws (for future reference)…

So far the drill bit seems to be working. I should be able to get some numbers tomorrow and know for sure. Or else I got a message into Tony and maybe I’ll have to send it back.
