I SO need a Mill
Would have taken a couple of minutes to make this…
But all I have is a stinkin dremel and it took forever… At least the bushings will be easy (relativly).

I can see how one might mistake it, but look closely at the trigger guard, that’s the giveaway. 😛

All done ! Just need some internals and a paintjob.
I wanted to keep it short as I already have a 2289 Carbine which is why it just has a stock length barrel and a relatively short shroud. Even without any baffles it takes the edge which mainly what I was looking for.
Its a 2289 foregrip. Sold by Crosman parts dept for about $5-10 I think.
MUCH better than the tiny skin pincher that comes stock.

I doubt I’d use it enough to justify the expense. Right now I’ve broken even with my Lathe with the bits I’ve made instead of having to buy – I don’t think I’d do that with a mill because other than this one shroud, there’s not much I’d make with it.
Having said that, I still might buy one eventually, just need to build up a good enough slush fund to pay for the mill, tools, accessories etc. Becomes quite the money pit just to get started with it. Then there are DRO’s and CNC.

Why can’t you treat yourself to a Mill then, YN? You make great stuff with what you have, so with something such as a full lathe you would really be flying.

Cost me $800 to drive my truck to Florida and back in Feb…. And your roughly the same distance so thats not cost effective otherwise I’d jump all over that !
