Q:

I Spend More Time Repairing Than Shooting!?! I’m Done.

I swear… I could not be more disgusted with the POS product Airforce sent me. My Condor and AF pump have failed me at every twist and turn.

First… My pump quit working within the first week of using it. An o-ring was bad when they sent it to me because once I replaced it, the pump performed much better than when I received it. That was a big head ache as I needed it to be in working condition at the time. It took me about 4 days to get the o rings and tools needed to disassemble and repair the pump. Thanks Airforce.

Second… While I was out shooting pigeons and starlings about an hour from the house, my tank fell apart!!! All the internals began rattling around inside my tank. That was a real blessing 👿 it took me several days to have the tool made to get my tank apart to repair it. The gun was non-operational for almost another week, during a time that I NEEDED it to be working. Thanks Airforce.

Third… My tophat was constantly coming loose. Despite blue loctiting it, it would still get loose on me. Well today is the last straw for me. The grub screws in the tophat just stripped, despite be very delicate with them. My tophat is toast. I cannot use my gun AGAIN. I won’t be able to get a Talon Tunes QTTH for some time so…. THANKS AGAIN AIRFORCE!

I haven’t had this thing more than two months!

Today is the first day of 5 days straight off work. I was supposed to go remove some pigeons and starlings off a local farm today or tomorrow but now I CAN”T! Thanks again Airforce Airguns.

For a rifle that costs $750 + a $200 pump not counting optics, etc, I could not be more PISSED THE HELL OFF. If it was made in CHINA it would be of better quality. I am disgusted that I spent my hard earned dollar on this piece of crap toy. By the time I make it right and install the aftermarket products to make it function AS IT SHOULD FROM THE FACTORY I’ll be so far into this gun that I would have been better off buying a REAL PCP like a FX Bobcat or Kalibr Cricket.

I have spent more time repairing this thing than actually shooting it! What crap. Keep your eyes open guys. You might see a Condor sticking out of a trash can on its way to the dump. One mans junk is another mans treasure so maybe someone else has the time and the means to actually make it work right.

MrShowTime, if you are past the suckling stage (that some are not) you should have enough time to try casting slugs or bullets for a .25 or larger. The re-melts really try ones patients.
Just think how much experience you have already gained.

I can’t even remember what your tread was about, did it had anything to do with rubbing/friction or getting a boner ? 😆

Just wanted to make sure he sees it. I have the part he needs to get shooting again! It’s his for free!

I hope you have Sunday off! The Starlings and pigeons will be waiting for you to ruin their day!

Hey guys, thanks for all the responses! I really appreciate it.
FYI, Wildfire PMed me and offered to send me one of his spare tophats. He is THE MAN. I could not be more thankful!!

As far as sending it back to Airforce… I have little interest in dealing with them again, or going through the hassle of mailing it back, phone calls, etc.

On the plus side… I know how to take down and repair every single part of this whole system. Another plus is any repairs for this system are more or less inexpensive and simple.. although when things go bad it can really ruin your day. O rings and blue loctite fix a lot!

My valve assembly was obviously not assembled by a competent employee. I know that I did the job right so I’d rather stick with my own handiwork than Airforces anytime. The O ring in the pump was chewed up. Somehow it got pinched by some threads. It’s amazing it lasted as long as it did before failing completely. I am more angry about the tophat than anything else. It sickens me that these guns cost so much, only to be sent out of there with these dinky little tophats.

Despite starting my 5 day “staycation” off this way, I am calm now. I have my tophat temporarily patched up with one grub screw and a lot of glue  Wildfire is hooking me up with one of his spares and it should be here shortly as we only live a few hours apart.

The PCP and Airgun community really seems like a good lot of guys. I am glad I took the plunge into the PCP game and hope to only get more involved down the road!
