I want a new bbl.22

But,i can,t decide on a 18″ or 24″,for my Talon SS.Noise is not a factor ,but want more FPS and FPE, i realize the longer the better ,but is it that much more or we talking alot . I only shoot, Kodiaks, Predators,Super domes. . Right now in my stock12″ bbl. my Kodiaks are at 750FPS,Predators are 780 FPS and the s.Domes are at 820 FPS. Any help or experiance in your gun would be a great help. I can only get one bbl. right now,and i can,t let wife know about it at this momet. Thanks

18″ will gain you about 90 fps over the 12″.

Paulj I can’t tell you the difference between the 18″ and 24″ but the difference between 12″ and 24″ is about 150 fps between my two guns. My 12″ Talon ss will shoot half way in a 11 ply-plywood at 16 yards. The 24″ Talon ss will go straight through. Kodiaks with stock 12″ 740fps, 24″ 890fps. The 24″ barrel is alot heavier than the 12″.
