I want to get the maximum number of shots in 177 at 6-8fpe
I am probably going to buy a TalonP pistol soon. I want to plink with it in 177 as well as hunt with the stock .25 barrel. So I am probably going to get a 12″ 177 barrel for it and maybe an 18″ 177 barrel too and maybe a micrometer bottle. With the micrometer bottle the TalonP will be a Talon rifle because the TalonP frame is the same as the Talon rifle from what I understand. For plinking 6-8 foot pounds is sufficient, but I think even the micrometer bottle puts out much more energy than 6-8 foot pounds even with power wheel at zero. Is there a way to modify a bottle valve to keep the muzzle energy down to 6-8 foot pounds in 177? About how many shots would I get with a 12″ or 18″ barrel in 177 at 6-8 fpe? I would like to avoid co2 because of the refil charges. Thanks for any replies.

Another thought. Maybe you could talk to Talon Tunes or Dyotat about a tophat to bring the power level down for you.
