Q:

I wish for a Weihrauch

With all these new bullpups hitting the market it makes me happy but at the same time a little sad. My favorite PCP “rifle” or non-bullpup has always been my HW100 T. The gun is really just perfect. Cocking is a dream, the gun is accurate and it just feels so “German”. I wish Weihrauch would turn their perfect PCP into a bullpup. A HW100 pup would make everything else just second best. Am I alone in this feeling?

My ex HW100T bullpup. Added an Hatsan BT65 air cylinder for more air. I like in original version too but switched in bullpup because it is pretty heavy and long ( 1250mm with 600mm barrel and silencer ) and other reason was to drag the weight in rear zone. Accuracy is the word that defines this toy.

I just don’t like AOA and the way they treat us airgunners. And when u make a post like that you are advertising for AOA.

Dman,

It’s all good. It has been a hellish winter and I think we all are a bit punchy being stuck indoors with little time shooting.

Cheers,
Scott

Dman,

Wow, sorry to have offended you by sharing info on new guns being released which may be of interest to others. I have no allegiance to AOA and the fact that they are the one releasing a lot of new European guns here in the US is not my fault.

Though I may not have been a member as long as you, I have always been helpful and constructive in my posts. I suggest you do some due diligence before going off half-cocked on a fellow forum member. A simple search of the posts I have made will prove this.

Dman,

The fit and finish looks great. Out of the box, your groupings look promising. I’m sure once she settles in, you’ll be stacking pellets with the gun. Congrats and good luck in your new venture.

Scott

Have you seen the new Weihrauch HW100S Laminate Carbine now available for purchase at Ariguns of Arizona?

Weihrauch HW100S Laminate Carbine$1505 w/free shipping
The latest version of Weihrauch’s first PCP rifle now sports key features demanded by the US shooter. The first and most obvious is the attached moderator, which reduces the muzzle report down to a quiet “puff”. The other improvement is the quick fill feature on the air cylinder as well as the built-in pressure gauge on the front of the air tube. Rather than having to remove the air tube to refill, you can insert a fill probe to the cylinder and recharge with your fill device, and the internal pressure is displayed with a color coded gauge. These improvements make the super accurate HW100 even better than previous models. Along with a match grade sporting trigger which is both predictable and crisp with 2-stage adjustments, the HW100 sports a silky-smooth side lever bolt that is both convenient and nearly effortless. The rifle is matched to a quality laminate stock that has an ambidextrous design. And it feels as good as it looks, and is comfortable for both sporting and target applications. Top it all off with the magazine fed repeating mechanism (with single shot option), and you have a fine, German-made air rifle to compete against anything in its class.

That has been on sale here for a good while now.

Schneider in Germany is a good, legit dealer with large stock of guns.
The shop is just a little cosy shop but the warehouse is enormous. They mainly deal thru WWW so no need for a big shop. That keeps the cost down.

Man, I am so sick and tired of AoA giving airgunners the shaft. Seriously they can go to hell. That gun sells for 900 EUR, minus the 19% VAT that comes to 729 EUR. Current market rates are 110 to the USD, so that means they RETAIL that gun for 805 USD. I am boycotting AoA. :angrymob:

You can compare that HW price to these http://www.sportwaffen-schneider.de/index.php/cPath/40_1678_790_1006

Schneider also has the whole line of HW100s there (I think). They ship within EU at least, might worth checking if they do US.

Weihrauch may make guns for acquired taste but those shoot very well. Airguns and powderburners alike.

Dang! I thought the Bobcat (beluga) was ugly! :suprisedn:

It wasn’t very functional either. I had to bang it to the floor to make it shoot. I later drilled a hole for the trigger.

But this is not HW, sorry for going OT.
