If you guys THOUGHT i was all about big bores then
your mistaken….turkeys……lol!
While out shooting my BIG BORES…..lol, I decided to take out the ole CrosMods Discovery 22 and knock off the dust. The last time out (year+ ago), I had replaced the stock but shortened 22 barrel with another full length (24″) barrel from Bryan & Associates. I also brought along a tin of 18 gr JSB’s. I have other weights and types of pellets in 22 but this venture wasn’t really about testing the CM22, I just wanted to play with it for a short time. Man, what a mistake. The B&A barrel doesn’t even have 50 shots through it nor have I polished its bore but, this thing is a tack driver. At 56 yard target placement and no idea what FPS I was getting with the JSB 18 grs pellets, I was literally getting 1 hole groups for 6 friggen shots and the 7th opened the group up to about 3/4 of an inch. I then refilled the gun a few more times and shot a couple more groups with similar results. I only stopped though cause I noticed the gun had sprung a leak. So now, I put the gun up for the day but even a couple of groups at that range from the LOWLY DISCO 22 left me smiling pretty hard.
And you guys know what this mean don’t you? I will soon be doing a video and report on the CM22 once I get around to getting the leak fixed. The leak is more than likely cause the gun has just sat for about 1 or so years. I basically bought the Brian and Associates barrel a long time ago and never shot the gun since.
Stay Tuned!
