Q:

IMPACT out of alignment….

Well looks like FX rushed another gun to gates….

The wildcat … maybe we should call it the wild MAG cause it pops mags out wildly….

And Now the IMPACT

man 1900$ for a gun that isn’t machined properly…. then toss on another 450$+++ 100$ for barrel and mags…. dam thats an expensive POS…

Maybe Fredrick should take flight over to the Factory and make sure they do things right.. sounds like some Quality control issues .

I just bought an Annie 54 , a 1710 HB , that i’ll build for Silhouette shooting.
The HW 66 is build for running Game and moving silhouettes while the Sako acts solely as a BR rifle for 100m – both as .22 LR & .17 HMR. The.17 Hummer sure is a fun cal btw 🙂

JAS sucks dead dicks! 😉
And i agree fully regarding Weihrauch. Nice rifles! I have a HW 66 .22 LR and it shoots really well too – outshoots Anschütz 1416 HB without breaking a sweat.
Even Air Arms have rifles in the FX price range so that BS Monsieur Loic is spewing holds no water. Sacré Bleu !!

I have an old Annie 54 competition gun and it’s a very nice rimmie, sets a good level of standards even for modern guns. Anyway, those modern FX guns seem to be overly complicated as far as design goes and ST barrels have yet to prove them selves in independent competitions. There are good ones but so there are in any other brands and FX is not overwhelming things like BSA does. I had high hopes for this new generation of FX guns but so far they do not live up to the promises they made.

I guess Weichrauch woould be competition as fas as being high quality, regulated and excellent trigger and accuracy goes. You can get them starting at around 800 euros. As far as Swedish vs. German engineering goes I just need to say Jas Gripen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mkgShfxTzmo&ab_channel=Svelski

stop to trolling fx brand
how many people never has a problem with their gun? i just to buy fx royale 500 regulated and it s an incredible pcp!best pcp that i ever had
my airforce condor is far behind!!!!!!! and for europeen airforce cost a lot too..so yes fx brand is expansive in usa but here i ve paid 1290euro for my fx regulated..
so for europeen customers it s a great deal, expansive yes but better than lot of pcp available on the market!!

if i was an american i will never buy a pcp but more semi auto 22lr like 10/22
on top of that you are lucky almost everything is less expansive in you country like optical 😉

Better than what in the same price class ? And i mean European PCP´s.

Soze, mad respect for your last post and i total feel and respect what you are saying. Thanks for taking that time to explain the feelings toward FX and a compelling reasons behind it. Thank you.

OK, so first ever post here. (Lurking for 1 week) I belong to several forums and I have been thinking about buying an FX Impact, after all the issues are worked out on the new gun.

My question is: Is it really AOA or FX that deserves all of the negative press. I actually stopped at AOA while in Phoenix for 2 days and they seemed reasonable and helpful and even had an Impact I could fondle. However, I didn’t buy anything from them because there was no stock. Is it the customer service from AOA that is the problem. Newer air gunner here and just want to know. Looking for a higher end gun ( I just sold my .25 Marauder and loved that gun but it was heavy and awkward in the field)
Thanks for any help. Not trying to start any wars.

Gin,
I like a forum where people can say what ever the hell they want. Having said that you’ll be hard pressed to find too many people on this board complaining about the FX Royale A lot of us started as FX customers and we were let down by the Bobcat and we felt let down by the customer service offered by the importer/retailer. We (or I) felt like were sold a bill of goods by slick videos only to find the gun never performed like in the videos we watched and the leaks in the new gun were almost as numerous as the stars in the sky. So what you are seeing on TAG is not a mob mentality but a group of very serious and experienced airgunners who have been burned and they have a jaundice eye for FX products. Like a battered wife flinching as her asshole husband lifts his hand we are flinching at a new FX gun showing that the QC and products they offer are still having problems. Like the Who once wrote: “meet the new boss same as the old boss”.

I would like to add that no one has taken more of a beating on this board than Ed from EDgun. There have been guys thrashing Ed for years, yet he takes it, still post here and in my opinion has worked to improve his products and customer service. Ed went from “don’t buy my guns” to “how may I help you” in a short amount of time. Ed just sent me replacement parts from Russia gratis, an act that would not have been the norm a few years ago.

I (and a couple others) absolutely went to war over the fact that my Taipan Mutant came with a shit Korean barrel and was told the gun had a CZ barrel. So now the guns will be offered with CZ barrels and I have been told that the current stock of Taipans with Korean barrels are not selling.

So I conclude this post with the hope that the beatings will continue until these guns become what they are supposed to be for 2K. Put out a shit product, be prepared to be kicked in the balls. It’s really the only way things change. No one gets a free pass here on TAG, no one.

You hit the nail on the head on several points there……

FOr me its not FX directly its more AOA and how they treat there customers after someone spends 2k$ .

It all started for me with the BOBCAT Gen 1 First stock version (I had one of the first 4 delivered in us)…. I really liked the gun but i couldn’t get over the fact that the stock did not fit the action properly. The manometer didn’t line up properly either… I sent it back so they could fix it. only to be jerked around for 2 months. they sent it back and said that they put a new stock on it and it was good. They didn’t do a dam thing. 2 weeks later the announcement came out about the new stocks….

so i called and asked about it. they said id have to pay for one but only after all there orders are filled cause all the stocks are for guns… YEH GO FUCK YOUR SELF AOA.

I fixed the miss aligned gauge issue myself and sold the gun . never to deal with them pricks again……

I think the IMPACT should, and will be judged on it merits and short comings. Ernest is doing just that, fair and impartial, by one of the best assets of the air gun community.

As to the sole importer and gatekeeper to retailers, let each user, customer be the judge. Power corrupts, absolute power absolutely corrupts.
Just my take. Micheal and Ted have been very quiet as AGN members expose their personnel findings.

SoZe; No I’m not saying ignore them, for sure talk about them complain about them, but acknowledge that it is a small percentage and don’t go shouting to the heavens that the company is shit, or has no QC, or the gun should go back to the drawing board, etc.
AGN wants people to think its a perfect gun, which is wrong, but TAG often states its a piece of shit to stay away from, which is wrong too. Like most new products it could be better, some people like it, some people could live without it. I’ve haven’t heard anyone one say they hated it, but that the quality sucked, it was flawed, it leaked, but if that was fixed i would own one in a heart beat. But that’s not all of them its just a small percentage.

Yes, and it depends also if it was built/managed on/for pure greed.

~ Greg

So your premise is ignore negative post because it’s a small sample size and all airguns have problems? What’s the point of an airgun forum?
