in the market for a Talon ss
I have been reading up on these air rifles and am quite impressed. I could use one for some pesky birds, squirrels and possibly a possum or two. The Talon SS looks to be the best bet for me. All of my shots would be 40 yards or less. I have found these rifles for sale with varying prices. Can anyone recommend the best place to purchse from? Costomer service is as important as price. I’m looking at the basic gun with scuba adapter. ❓

Beware the airforce refill clamp. Check the gauge for safety sake. Filled my tank to 3200 psi a couple of times and the gauge always stopped at 2800 psi?
The TAG and SavageSam saved my ass on that one and a Big thanks to all on that thread. Don’t exceed 3,000 psi and most condors have a sweet spot around 2600.
Found out the gauge was bad, Airforce warranty would have covered this but I couldn’t wait, replaced gauge myself. Still use the clamp.
well i have gotten all of my toys from talon tune from the gun to every thing else and i am very happy with it and all the other things i have gotten from him. a very good person to deal with

I bought mine from Airguns of Arizona and the customer service was great. They took the time to fill the tank and shoot a string of ten shots (which they document by chrono for you)just to make sure everything was working properly…even followed up with a “how’s the gun performing” email a couple of weeks after purchase. Try and get even one of those services from Pyramyd!

I should have asked that question when I bought my TSS from Pyramyd.
I wasn’t too happy that they never sighted the gun with the scope and the sales droid didn’t really have a clue about the TSS. I did get a refund for the labor of NOT sighting the scope and I paid for the cheap Plano case. I would also recommend Tim or the peeps at Airguns of Arizona.

Lots of folks here do, I haven’t gotten around to it yet. If you’re in Seattle, I’d imagine you could find a used scuba tank pretty cheap and a dive shop nearby to fill it for you.
The hand pump routine works, but the scuba tank is the easier and more elegant solution.
Mac1 and Airhog will test your gun at no charge. PA will charge you for this.
Also whoever you talk to make sure they guarantee you do not get one with a “Purple” tint to it. Sometimes the anodizing is buggered and does not come out black.
Thanks! You’re right, most are within 20 or 30 bucks….didn’t pay attention to shipping, I’m sure that’s were they would “make it up.” I haven’t looked at Mac1, I’ll check them out! Do you guys use the scuba adapter??
I recommend Mac1 Airguns and Air Hog as well as Straight Shooters.
Mac1 it is best to give him a call and talk with him.
Pyramid Air or Straight Shooters for a stock AF gun. There are others of course, those two I’m familiar with. Not sure how much variance you’re seeing in the prices, most dealers are within $20 of each other, so keep an eye on how much they’re gonna soak you for shipping charges.
Customer service? That depends on how much you’re looking for.

You can’t! I just ordered my Hawke 8×32-56 scope from AoA for my Mac1USFT. I generated an Excel spreadsheet that took about 2 weeks of gathering data in my spare time….well it turns out that the scopes they offer at Air Guns of Arizona were exactly in the top 3 scopes for my USFT! Instead of barraging their catalog with EVERYTHING, they choose to sell items that make air gunning fun.
