Incoming Cricket
hello my name is justin, from minnesota. I have an incoming .22 cricket compact skeleton stock that should be here tomorrow. And i am extremely psyched. Charlie at WWAG mounted the 6-24×50 and test shot it and said to buy JSB 18.1’s so i did and they will be here Saturday. This forum is awesome and im here all the time reading/drooling. Pics will be posted! :1:

I think yes. See http://talonairgun.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=26325&start=80 I have had 1/2 turn only and it was not so efficiency as with 1 turn. Really try 1 turn after contact…
Octavius, you think that will be more efficient? Maybe one day I will if I’m bored. But it’s ok now.
I got the leak stopped last night by A) finding it. It was the air bleeder screw. B) I just opened the screw up again then snugged it down a little harder. It held air overnight..
Try to set valve spring to 1 turn ofter spring contact.
Yeah I know. I think I was seeing a puff of air follow the pellet out the shroud. And it was a lot louder than my marauder .25.
I adjusted my vst. It is quieter now. I didn’t have the time to crony afterwards, and now it is leaking air so I have to take apart again if I get a break from my studies. Although sending it out to get tuned would probably get done sooner.
21 shots is not enough !! There is huge consumption of air. You have 35bar for 14 shots !!! – its not normal.
2,5bar for 1 shot – usually is 1,4 bar for 1 shot
What about your valve spring retainer ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_dpR4F6C7g
Chrony data.
From 200bar to 145bar was 21 shots from 887 to 872 for an ext. spread of 15 fps. See for yourself.

So I think the regulator is set around 150-145 bar. Is this number of shots normal for the compacts? I only filled to 200bar because that’s what my tank was at.
What are your group diameters, and how are you shooting them?[/quot
seated with a bag under the front of stock and shouldered. I didnt measure the groups… I just figured at 20yards they should be stacked on top of each other and they were not. So when I got home I put a patch through the barrel and it was black like tar. so i cleaned it. I will hopefuly shoot tomorrow though and see where im at.
Given the human error factor, I’d expect 1/2- 5/8 ragged hole. Your still getting used to the trigger also.

This is what I used on my bullpup. It’s small but opens up 6″ to 9″, plenty!
Not a bad price and super quick detach, square legs, well built!!!
Hoot:
Break in is usually for the reg shot deviation/spread part, not accuracy, except leading in the barrel
WWAG is saying 874fps. I will chrony a shot string tomorrow. How longs it take to lead the barrel?
How fast is it shooting? Untuned, they shoot hot at factory settings.

I shot some groups at the indoor range that didnt look great, earlier this week.. with JSB 18.1’s, charlie said they shot better than the 16’s. I suppose im just getting used to her and need to break her in. Whats a general break-in period on a cricket? I have maybe 250 pellets down the barrel. What should I be doing to get my gun more accurate? besides send it to earnest.. And I need to get a bipod on her too. any suggestions? I need a compact bipod for my compact.
The aeon scope was too big to get a good hold and proper sighting for me. So I swapped it for the hawke 1/2mil 4-12 panorama. I finally feel comfortable lining up a shot. The cricket got lighter, approx 10oz. The aeon is on the mrod now.

According to my benji hand pump( was filling from a tank previously) the gauge on my cricket is displaying around 25bar too high which is probly most the reason i though I got so few shots on a fill. I just assumed the gauge was good :butkick:
I also found that flipping the butt-pad like this is very comfortable too.
