Q:

Indoor Chrony Setup for my Edgun

Been raining here in Northern CA…finally! So I’ve been crafting a device to make it easier to tune my Edgun R3M .22. I’ve been thinking of how to adjust the HST with out having to remove the stock on and off. I don’t have one of those fancy rifle vice’s and truth be told I’m not sure one’s out there specifically designed to handle bullpups. A while back I bought one of those cheap picatinny rail adapters to make my screw on Atlas a quick detach one…well I didn’t like the height it added or the cheap look it gave my genuine Atlas :winkn: so I tossed it in my shooting box until the day arrived when I found another use for it…that day has come! Thankfully it’s made out of aluminum so it wasn’t hard to drill through. So without further ado…..

Thanks fellas…hey my HST is not able to be dialed by just my fingers…I gotta use a pair of vice grips to gently turn the thing! Any tips on making this smoother? Also what do you think of this….when I got my Ed it was shooting out of the box at an avg of 900fps…so when I pulled the reg and measured the depth it measured 4.93mm so I gave the HST a couple turns out and the screwed the reg in about a 1/4 turn now measuring 5.33mm(depth gauge) and when I was adjusting the HST up until it decreased fps I was only getting avg 830fps.

Writing this I just remembered something I read OG say about having to give the reg one fill…so I guess I should have shot it down to 100 bar then refilled then start chronying….shit! Well my chrony lights won’t get here till Tuesday…until then I guess I’ll just shoot as is.

Use a Dremel tool and a cutting wheel to cut two slots in the back of the HST so you can use a screwdriver for adjustments. The HST cuts real easy.

Very innovative :8:

That is cool. I am bad and don’t put the stock bolt in when I am tuning it. I sit the stock in the rest and pull the action out to adjust. Still a bit of a pain.

😯 😯 😯 A great idea !

Damn Chinese people are so smart! Great job Brandon, looks sweet.
