Yep, I’m an over taxed retiree in the heart of the US, Ohio. I believe they came up with Ohio from “Overland Highway 10”. I live near the south end of The Black Swamp that was drained after the newcomer state, Michigan, sent an invasion army to claim Toledo city. Ohio troops couldn’t get through the Black Swamp with any heavy artillery quick enough to do battle. The Michigan governor was removed by the US prez and Congress agreed to help drain the swamp, NW corner of Ohio, so Federal troops could defend Michigan from invaders and probably more importantly from themselves.

Enthusiasm continues to grow with a Condor!

I just started my 2nd year in AR in my late 60s. I only have a Condor. Did I say “only”?…Well, it is both a high power .22 x 24″ rifle and a very quiet .177 x 12″ Condor SS. I’m not a consistent shooter yet, but I love to shoot and experiment. I’ve been back and forth from the 50 to 100 yard ranges. My 6-8″ group of 32 shots at 100 yards isn’t good enough but I beat some .22LR shooters. I’ll get back there after I gain the consistency needed.

I bought a few Mods and installed them myself. The 1st thing to get is a WOK BUTT to raise the sights without having to bend your neck so far. 2nd, is an E-TaC with drop and cant to finish making the rifle truly comfortable to shoot. 3rd would be WOKGARD15 that allows adding an AR15 grip and more important re-enforces the aluminum frame at the breech area. I’ve recently ordered a TalonTunes 95 gram hammer, trigger shoe, and vented front bushing from Tony. Tony does Professional Tuning for those who don’t have the time, skill, and/or equipment to do-it-yourself, and he sells new rifles, scopes, and accessories also.

Things I did myself like venting a front bushing for my .177 x 12″ barrel worked good but looks lousy (at least it hides inside). A small home drill press is not precision. But, polishing the Condor Valve Stem/Top Hat was easy enough for me and made a noticeable difference. I suppose the guys with the machine shop do a better job but for this mod home hand tools did fine for me.

Some things have to be removed more often than others to access mods but it becomes 2nd nature after a couple of times.

A Regulator would be a nice thing to have but it seems the consensus on this forum is a lot of fellows get regulated or near enough results by experimenting and finding the PSI range that different pellets seem to prefer for accuracy. For real long paint ball type shot strings there are ways to top off the tank either from a Hill hand pump, SCUBA, SCBA, and NEW on the scene the ShoeBox 3000-4500 PSI Compressors. There’s a waiting list for the ShoeBox but you may also need to do some preparation setup.

So far I’ve added 6 items, replaced 1 scope, and have on order 4 replacement parts a few of which will be swapped in and out as the type of shooting varies from close varmint/target, medium target/hunting, and long range target and hunting. And, I’m on the waiting list for a couple ShoeBox Compressors.

I don’t have to go out and buy another rifle for a special purpose…just swap barrels, and or hammers, and or change the fill pressure and settings and I’m good to go for any small game or target shooting up to 100+ yards.
