Q:

Information on the P12 de-pinger

Hi all

I was wondering if anybody knows what orifice size on the de-pinger works best. The brass part on the delrin de-pinger.

Hey Guys

First things first.

There is a lot more to them than simply taking out the ping.

We have already sent over 2 dozen of them to other countries that have the P-12.
(Its a shame to pay more for the shipping than for the part)

95% of our first P-12 orders, were sent out with the HuMa regs installed, as per customer request, so they do not have the depinger. (no Need)

The depingers, we make are two types.

The original prototype, was tunable and accepted emulsion tube jets from holley race carbs for easy tuning in a wide array of calibers.
This type, was made primarily for testing and evaluation by wingman, and myself to achieve the optimal size for the .22 cal.
The jets alone, are 8 bucks per size, and once you get the size for any caliber “dialed in” there is no need to change them, unless you really want to spend a lot of money on jets, and just ruin your shot string. They are not for power, or just for the “Ping” reduction.

They are to flatten out the shot string (big time)

The hole size, can be as much as .125″ and still takes care of the “ping”, but the .060″ (in .22 cal) has the added benefit, of
making your shot string very consistent. (without losing any power)

The current type has a simple hole in it, matched to the .22 cal requirements. (.060″)

(I installed these for free to all of my first customers, that didn’t order the HuMa reg, as a way of saying thanks for the business.

This current version we sell and is inexpensive, easy to mod (if desired) and does much more than simply kill the “ping”.

It acts as an air flow regulator (unlike the HuMa air pressure regulator) and although it does not give you as many more shots per fill like the HuMa reg. It does flatten the shot string out considerably.
(Its a budget minded part)

They do not come with the P-12 from SPA, and this is a part that wingman and myself designed and tuned specifically for Mrodair customers. It is manufactured by mrodair.com LLC

It is our intention, to make them as affordable and efficient as possible and available to all of our customers in the future.

As other calibers of the P-12 are developed, we will make other changes specific to their requirements.

I hope this helps clear this up

Thanks Again Guys

So what does the current model P12 come with? Does it have a depinger and baffles installed? I couldn’t get Mike to answer these simple questions although he’s the US importer that orders them according to his specs.

honestly i don’t think mike sent any of them out with the guns ( the ones with the office) ….. he may chime in and make me eat my words but i dont think so.

i think its got a .30 in it now from looking at it

the orifice will need to be bigger i suspect if using the heavy spring and smaller if using the light spring
