Just recieved my new insert from subsonic. The first few shots no difference then it settled in and became very quiet. It made my ss22 quiet enough that I can,t hear any muzzle report only hammer slap & the thump when it hits the target.

how long you usually wait for the insert from Greg?
If you want dead quiet on a 12″ barrel, you’ll need to get a moderator that sticks out a few inches. There are three places to get one that I can recommend from experience:
Subssonic
GTBJ
Tony @ TTT
There’s so much air pressure on a .25 that my experience has shown you need at least 7.5″ from the barrel’s end to make it dead quiet. With different price ranges, all three of these guys have the talent and goods to make it happen.

It’s subsonic on this forum. Give him a PM & I’m sure he will reply. Seems to be a great guy to deal with & prompt service. Very good machine work & doesn’t hurt accuracy. I have killed starlings anywhere from 10yd to 37yd. Starlings are quite small with only an inch kill zone so this says a lot about his product.

It was $45 and well worth every penny. I don’t know about how quiet but it will definatly help on the .25. I,m sure the fit is the same. You can’t even tell it’s installed . Looks like a stock SS22.
How much did it cost you . Will it work the same on a 12″ barell in .25 ?
