Installin multi shot KIT to EDgun Matador R3

Question – There is probably a good reason for this but I can’t figure out what it is. Why are there no pellet magazines that stack pellets side by side the way high capacity PB magazines do it? I can easily envision a clear plastic magazine that is:
1) held in place on the gun with a couple of rare earth magnets (no new breach / bolt assembly needed)
2) easily holds a dozen or more pellets side by side or slightly off set
3) fits in the loading space available in a M3 or other guns
4) the shooter pushes the next pellet into the loading tray from the magazine with a push of a spring backed button or lever (think of the way Pez candy dispenser works)
5) gravity fed
If I had a 3D printer I would make one. With all the talent on this forum I am sure someone could figure this out in an afternoon or two). Think about the benefits of a drop in multi shot option.
What am I missing? What ever it is that I am missing I am sure it is obvious to everyone but me. Just ask any of my family members or any women that I have dated. I miss stuff all the time. Just don’t beat me up to bad when you tell me why this is a dumb idea. Please don’t respond by saying “Hey idiot, did it ever cross your mind that……” Something like “Great idea. I thought of that also, gave it a try and here is the problem. ……….” Would be much better.
Thanks in advance for the polite and helpful responses.
NOW – Someone please make the freaking thing.
Spring/Summer….that’s what I said and I’m sticking with it.
Now the question is…jab/feb 2014 or 2015?.
Ah, yes, I found it…

Yes, I do, as I told before the multi shot breeches for turning R3 into R3M are being prepared and I expect them to be ready for delivery in Jan/Feb. If there will be some number of people who stay of single shot platform I just will make them both, I think.
Figure sometime Spring/Summer, and no sooner for sure.
No one knows the cost, but Ed assured me it would be cheaper than buying a new gun!!!
Didn’t he post earlier that they would be shipping this year? Or early next?
Guys….Ed said no MS kits, in any caliber, till the current MS R3 orders are filled.

Still showing as private for me
whats the cost of the upgrade kit and do they come in .177?
When can US customers expect to receive them?
Will extra magazines be available at that time?
What have you decided about a multishot kit for R3 25’s?
He is selfish, and very likely still beats his wife.
May all of his pellet skirts arrive bent, and the crows he misses…I hope they relieve themselves on his head!

I saw the video this morning to. Very simple swap out!
The owner of the vid changed it 🙁
It was changed somehow because I was able to watch it this morning
Very interesting 🙄 Maybe we have to wait…

Ed, will the multishot kit be only for R3 to R3M or will they fit the older R2.5 as well.
Strietwise,
as far as linear pellet mag, I would assume the softness of the lead has something to do with it. with a lead pellets skirt being the seal in the barrel for air to push against, any deformity could cause serious accuracy issues.
PB have brass cases for alignment extraction etc, nothing like that in airguns. I did see a linear semi-auto airgun magazine can’t remember brand, but each pellet had its own cylinder to reside in.
