Installing a Atlas to my Cricket-Pic Heavy!
I had asked on the yellow how to go about doing so. I got some good suggestions from Dennis. I thought I’d share here to in case someone like me searches the internet for some guidance.

One question: Isn´t that plastic/polymer rail going to wear out at its edges in short order ? Or is it sturdy enough to withstand extended usage without getting flimsy ??

Not stainless…zinc…Good tip on the paint.
Looks good. Did you use stainless screws? Little bit of black paint on a Qtip and those heads will disappear.

There are 3 sizes to the Cricket. Compact, Standard and Long. The .25 cal Crickets are only a available in the long version(33inches).
Nice job. I used the black painted head wood screws from Ace Hardware. My wife gives me a hard time on colors – even on my guns.
I believe its the standard….I haven’t heard of the “long” Cricket. I thought there was only compact or standard. Mine is standard length.

That remains to be seen. But Magpul didn’t get their reputation for making stuff that breaks. I’m more worried about the wood screws coming undone. If that should happen my plan is to use t-bolts like these

I would use a forstner bit to mill out the inside of the stock.
