Q:

Interest in used 4500psi, 44CF SCBA tanks??

I would like to know if any of ya’ll would have any interest in some used 4500psi, 44CF, SCBA tanks. They would come with a usable hydro date which could vary, and would still have at least 5+ years of service life left in them (ie, mfg. date would be around 2000). They would come as tank only, no hose or fill adapters. Hoses and fittings could be bought at at “Joes Air tanks” http://www.hamcontact.com/airgun/HoseAssembly/

I would be able to offer these tanks for around $175 shipped. If you would prefer I could sell a tank with new hydro for $191.00

Thanks,
Johnny

I would be interested in a CARBON FIBER tank or two. No fiberglass. 88’s or 66’s please. Age doesn’t matter, ’98 manufacture date is fine for me, as long as price reflects that. Must be reasonable condition, no impact or burn damage.

I’ll see what I can do, should have all my ducks in a row by the end of the weekend. Curiously, why is fiberglass an issue for you?

The 44’s are fiberglass, and (for the most part) have a MFD date of around ’01. Can get some 88’s as well and they would be fiberglass and only about $50 more with a MFD date of ’98-00. There is a possibility of a Carbon Fiber in either, I’ll just have to wait and see what used stock I can get. I really don’t want anything Mfg’d before 1998-99, that way we’ll get at least a good 5 years of use out of them. I don’t think there is a big difference between the CF & Fiberglass tanks.

I don’t know how long I’ll have access to this supply so instead of only buying one for myself, I figured I see if anyone else would be interested.

Considering Joe sells tanks of the same age for around $50 more I think you’d do alright. I might be interested in picking one up from you. I already have an 88′ but the fill place is on the opposite side of town and only open the same hours that I work. The more air I can get at one time the better as far as convienience. Do you have access to any bigger tanks?

Johnny, are these carbon fiber or fiberglass?
