That blog entry was from a while back, obviously. Some folks wonder why that long time members here dont place much value on what Tom says….. well…. thats why.
I was one of the people who got a Condor the moment they were available. I talked with Tom many times over the phone when he worked at AirForce and he bull shitted me on fill pressure of my gun. I sent it in twice to have it fixed to no avail. “Your gauge must be wrong” Was the reply he gave me. Well what the fuck… my gauge was right enough for all my other PCP’s.
There was a LOT deleted from that thread when TOG members came to the defense of their actions….haha.
I would probably start with standard condor weight first then go from there I will be doing some testing with 100gram weight to see what I can get. I will post some numbers vary soon, I do realize I stated that before but it has been so hectic here at the shop trying to get everything all setup, then having to re make all the small parts threw everything out of control, thank god all the valves shipped out today so that is one less thing on my endless list of things to accomplish.
So Brad, what is the right weight of a hammer with your valve ?
Or should I say what weight would be a good start ?
What would you recommend ?
Ha, enough questions for ya ?
I doubt that would ever happen with the Blodnob valve I am selling, for one it takes less force to knock the valve open and Is just a better design all around.
Two weeks later, he was back in our shop – this time with his air tank that wasn’t working. You could see that the top hat was mashed down flush with the top of the valve and had no more resiliency.
Now IF he had divulged the reason WHY this particular person with a fictional name added the heavier hammer it would be clear what was going on…
So it begs the next question, IF Gaylord was correct WHY did AF replace the Condor valve that were previously operating perfectly?
The weight was added because the valve would NOT operate under a full fill… AF eventually redesigned the valve and replaced the defective valves free of charge…
Mr Gaylord has yet to blog about that information though, seams relevant to me, but then again I don’t earn my $$ by ignoring real problems and then making fun of those that try to get what they paid for from their “not operating as advertised” rifles… 🙄 🙄
