I can see you feel really slighted that you are not allowed to use racist terms here by the constant mentioning of it in threads were it isnt even relevant…. maybe Tron can help you set up your own forum where that stuff is allowed.
I hate to use OJ Simpson as an example, but he was found NOT GUILTY Criminally in SURPREME COURT (but we know otherwise) by a GRAND JURY of his peers (and yours too). So how the hell was he found guilty of Murder civily???? Go Figure, but always remember, there are two court systems in this country. You won’t have to go to jail, but its OK for the PERPS family to now own everything you once owned, and now you have NADA…This is a sore spot to most of us in Law Enforcement
If they (the perp’s family) took everything of mine I’d kill the lot of them.

Same for Texas. And the law assumes that if a bad guy is brazen enough to come into your house while it is occupied, the bad guy is obviously willing to force his will or in other words commit harm to the occupants in order to perpetuate his intended crime. Other wise he wouldn’t be there in the first place.

Its mainly due to the fact that you cant legally kill someone unless you were in fear for your life or someone else’s life. If the burglars were not armed and there were three students and only one burglar then it would be hard to explain how that one burglar made you feel like you were going to die. You also dont have the right to use a gun in a fist fight, or in this case a sword to defend yourself.
The student with the sword is at the mercy of the other two students. It will depend on what they tell the police as to whether any charges are brought up or not. The best scenario is for it to be just you and the burglar. The police have to go by your word because the dead guy aint talking.
Wow, samurai sword, wicked. I guess it was sharp if it severed his hand. 😀 I guess for close quarters, a gun is not always necessary for personal defense, especially if you are prohibited from having a firearm where you live. Bet he shit his pants when his hand hit the floor. 😯

WTF! You have to be kidding me. I don’t understand why their would even be any consideration about criminal charges…Perhaps someone can chime in and explain why they even consider this possibly criminal????
They always say that because they do have to do an investigation to make sure….
Otherwise people could go drag someone into their garage, feed the police a story and be all set because there was no investigation – or thats the theory anyway.

Woah ther YN. I was making a joke about all the anti god crap being mentioned in government and the race card being played in congress this week that has been all over TV. And it becoming an issue here as well. If I am racist at all it is against UK types thinking they know all about the way America works! One directed in this case, to some one from another country that lives in the US and tries to make it into something else, rather than conforming to what the US stands for. Many still believe that Our Pres. was born over seas. which is not allowed to become an American Pres. He is hell bent on turning our country in to a Socialist State. There were once political parties called The Wig’s and Torie’s. A Wig’er didn’t mean a white acting black then either. It was not a racist term but rather some one who always supported the Wig party.
Recently race has become a big issue. Perhaps one should look to see if there is smoke before yelling fire. Things are not always as they seem.
