internal thread on baffles for a .25 barrel shroud

im in the process of possibly putting together another air rifle (arent i always??). the type of shroud i want will be 1.25″ O.D. but im not sure of the inner diameter as of yet. i am wondering though, would it be possible for it to be threaded for 1/2″ UNF/20 tpi so it will thread onto the barrel, and then the barrel shroud will slide over it, and secure to the breech (like an Mrod)? the end cap will then be put on, and attached via some grub screws. the rifle will be pushing Jerry’s 6 rings to around 120 fpe. thoughts on length and design please! id like this rifle to be backyard friendly…like maybe a CO2 gun, or maybe quieter if possible? thanks for any input!!
