IR illumination for sony camcorder
anyone know which wavelenght of IR suits Sonys camcorders?
im looking for somthing with quite a punch…like a 200+mw laser flashlight
ebay got a 1000mw and 3000mw IR laserflashlights. around 805nm i belive it was…but they are 165 and 300 bucks so quite expensive
and hence i wanna know if one of those would be good with my camcorder to turn it into a 1st gen NV kinda thingy
my idea was to mount my eotech far front on the scope rail and the camcorder behind it….and then use the laser flashlight to illuminate…optimal would be detection of critter at atleast 100 yards, and visible enough at 50 yards to take the shot

thanks for the link i got the Hc5 it has 2 modes of nightshot or what ever sony calls it…
theres a 30 fps mode, which i think is allmost as good as the “super” mode where the framerate really drops (shutter speed slows)
but 810 nm sounds like the ir flashlight i found should do well…or maybe not YN was telling me a bit about them
heres the links i forgot to post last time
