Q:

Is 18 fpe poissible for a tuned Talon SS Co2?

I’m thinking of getting my first AF rifle. I don’t have a compressor, tank or pump. I don’t want to go PCP, wanna go Co2. Initialy I want tuned Talon SS with a 18″ (.22 or .25 cal) barrel with 6″ of extenstoion. I also want the trigger tuned and lightened up, less than 16oz of trigger pull.

Two questions…

1. Is 18 fpe achievable in Co2 with all the right porting ect…

2. Who will do be able to do this work? AZ, Talontunes, someone else you recemond?

If I can get 20 fpe It will shoot as flat or flatter than my Tomakawk or custom MA2540. Both are excelent hunters/can killers. I can allways switch over to HPA/PCP in the future. Now I have to decide which tuner to chose.

Ya, .25 on co2, 20 plus fpe.

.25 on C02 would have the trajectory of a toy stopper gun!

Those numbers that the Roc is posting would give you a 13.4FPE..

I had a Condor and bought a Co2 tank for low fps shooting. With an 18″ barrel in room temperature I got any where from 630 – 670 fps with 14.3 gr CP’s.

Take it outside in colder weather and your fps will drop.

I did some research and played with the power wheel and maxed out the tophat with no change in fps.

I believe it has to do with the power source… liquid and gas as opposed to HPA.
