Is it just me, or does any one else here have multiple….
…brands of Air rifles (I have an FX, Crosman, Baikal, and two AF) and the majority of my trigger time is spent with the single shot AF rifles. Why is that when my FX is a multi-shot, lighter, and more accurate (slightly)?
I tell myself perhaps it is because they are Made in America, but that’s not it. So is the Crosman.
There is something about these carbines and rifles…can I get an Amen?

I have to agree ,i sold all of my guns ,even bought a brand new daystate early this year air wolf in 177,only to sell it 2 weeks later,Thers just somthing that makes you wont to use them,, SHORT LIGHT POWERFULL TAKE DOWN say no more.
but still own 2 AF rifles.

Looks like I sold my FX tonight. It was an awesome gun, but as aforementioned, I hardly shot it. I put in more time with my .25 condor and .177 SS (soon to be a .22 thanks to Rob).
AF, AA, FWB, Webley, Crosman
The AF gets almost all my trigger time. Its just more satisfying to shoot due to all the fucking with it took to get it right. Now that its right, I cant put it down.
The S410 gets a lot of pest duty (starlings, squirrels, crows) around the house. Its the goto gun my wife picks up, and I think she shoots it better than I do. Its quite enjoyable to watch her take starlings in the eye from 30 yards offhand.

There is just something about the AF that is just plain old fun! 😉
Some of the snobs on a few of the other forums will never believe, or get it. But we DO!!! 😉 😈
Seems that the AF guns end up being kinda expensive too though. All the nice little extras you end up putting on em, along with all the Damed Lead we keep buying! Remember when pellets were cheap? It use to be my excuse to shoot air guns for practice instead of the power burners. Oops!

I’m there too. The TSS with a knights armament forward handle turns the gun in to a M4 single shot. It’s acurate, light, and reliable. The scope bore height can be worked around with a laser which helps for close range.
It’s a great gun.
I still want a better trigger, who sells one?

Yeah, I kind of expected similar sentiment…this is TAG after all 😎 My .22 Condor was my first adult airgun as well. As corny as it sounds when UPS delivered it I had that song, “oh yeah” by Yellow playing over and over in my head. Yes, the simplicity of working on them, the durability of them, and lets not forget the out of the box power of them 🙂
My Condor was my first “adult” airgun after a long lost RWS 34 from my youth. I’ve really enjoyed how I can change it’s set-up so easily. It started as a tame .177 24″ barrel Co2 gun, went to a .22 12″ barrel HPA, then finally to a .22 18″ barrel HPA with a TT shroud. Still slowly adding WOK pieces. I love these guns. 😎
AF was the 1st good gun I ever owned, maybe that’s why.
They are just so easy to load and shoot and they are not safe queens.
I feel for those guys who buy a brand new FX $2000 rifle and the damn thing falls or gets a scrape.

You may be right.
My FX 500 carbine has set in the case for a month without being shot, the Ranger 45 has not been shot for months. THe Talon SSS sits loaded with a cast 56 grain bullet in it ready to go.

For me, it’s the simplicity of the guns. I have no problem totally disassembling any on them. and you can go from mild to wild..
My inventory consist of Condor .25 Condor .22 and (2) SS, Marauder Rifle in .22 one in .25 and Marauder Pistol I shoot in carbine form.
I also have a Izy 46 pistol that is going up for sale as I just don’t have time to shoot it as much as I though I would.

If I didn’t like the AF guns so much I would have put the $450 I spent with Doug (excellent value BTW) as a down payment on 80’s FX. 😯
