Well, let me put it this way Wok. The Talon in our banner fired 9 times after I hit the REPLY key until the posting box popped up.
It is working like greased lighting for me now…

Guys, of course I have spoken with the Hosts, and am still speaking with them as I type this. In fact, I’ve spent all afternoon talking to them. The Agents (Call Center in India) are all very polite, but know absolutely nothing about anything and cannot tell me what the problem is. They can’t even answer me any questions about the Hosting company itself, and have no clue in the slightest when I explain to them that the issue is on their end and is due to server and software migration. May as well talk to a brick wall.
this may sound dumb but have you guys called your host and had them restart MySQL yet?
It only takes them a minute and might fix it.
I run several dating sites for a living and problems like this were usually mysql related.
Also you may be on a shared server and the site may have just become too large/active. if so thats a good problem 😉
I don’t think its the banner tho I have asked a couple of my Geek homies and they said it would not slow a whole web page down. I did notice that the old banner was just up and the site was still running slow. yeah its terrible how slow it is…..it kinda hit the same time we got the new banner….maybe the feeding of hundreds og tagger with a ½mb banner is taking away too much bandwith ?

I had t go to the yellow forum and select talon to get here. When I used my norman Favorites on my comp. It gave a fatal error screen!

I think the hosts are doing some changes..
If its still this slow in a couple days I am going to have to make a call…
Who the site is hosted with is out of my hands as well. Just pretend it’s 1990 again.
