Is the airforce pump a good pump…
or should I get an axsor or hill pump? I am getting closer to a talon ss by the day! How quiet is a talon ss stock with hpa on the different power levels? Do I need to do anything to the tophat? What setting would it probably take to get a 14.2 down to 700fps? Thanks!

All right get a fiberglass tank then. They can’t be used for scuba, can they????? I don’t know. I know,,, a fiber glass/kevlar tank=$$$$$$$$$
IF you are under 18, like me, a scuba tank is a pain in the ass. Most places require you to be 18 to get a fill, what a rip! 👿
I don’t care who you are, that’s funny right there! Your going to need a chrony, a feeler gauge and your going to want a scuba tank soon.
Then you got lucky. I got mine a month ago, and the first thing that happened is the small O-ring bit the dust. Just recently the brass adapted shot off of the base of the pump, when the tank was at 2800 psi. It scraped my WOKBUTT, and put a gash in my my bed frame. I couldn’t hear shit for 10 minutes.
I may be a rare case, but I bought my AF pump with my gun over 2 yrs ago and still going strong after untold 1000s of shots.
If everything is right, 60 shots will be there.

DO NOT GET AN AIRFORCE PUMP. Get a hill.
On a power level of 1-2 you would probably get about 700 fps with the 14.2 gr. I could easily see you getting 60 shots at that power level. I have my tophat at .072″ and PW set at 4, and am pushing 16 grains at 840 fps. If i fill to 2900, after 40 shots i am down to 2300. That is using a lot more aire than you will be using, so you are not dreaming big.

Get FX or Hill pump.
Different power levels – different sound levels. On maximum you’d probably need to mod it a little to get it to whisper levels.
Don’t do anything to tophat until you get a Chronograph: must have item.
Every AF gun is a bit different.

Finally got a fill setup working (can’t beleive I hand pumped for 2 yrs, this is great). 66cf 4500 psi carbon fiber tank (scba) from ebay for 110.00, scba adapter 75.00, af scuba fill adapter 50.00; 235.00 total.
A good hookup at the local volunteer fire department……..PRICELESS. Got my tank filled for the first time the other day and not only did he not charge me, but REFUSED to even take a 5.00 “tip” as a thank you. (He does want me to bring my Talon for him to see next time I get a tank filled)
